in news of other recruits who can't make up their mind....'18 wide receiver & former UK commit Jermaine Eskridge decommitted from South Florida mere days after doing so
Shocking...in news of other recruits who can't make up their mind....'18 wide receiver & former UK commit Jermaine Eskridge decommitted from South Florida mere days after doing so
One-time UK RB recruit (not commit) Adarius Lemon decommitted from UNC (he was a Chad Scott guy) about a month ago and committed to Florida. He decommtted from Florida yesterday.
Lemon now says he did not decommit from UF...One-time UK RB recruit (not commit) Adarius Lemon decommitted from UNC (he was a Chad Scott guy) about a month ago and committed to Florida. He decommtted from Florida yesterday.

I noticed that Marrow started following him the other day on Twitter.
If true, I wonder if Les will actually get called out for that. It would only seem fair since Kirby Smart got absolutely crucified for blocking a transfer to Miami, as did Saban for the Maurice Smith situation. The media never calls Les out on anything, so I'd say probably not. I guess you can get away with anything if you're goofy and eat grass. There's an article over @ KSR which says UK isn't in the picture right now because Les Miles isn't likely to release Brown to any SEC team. There is a difference in playing for LSU and UK. Brown could very well develop at UK. He would certainly get more attention here in the development process.
I guess Les has forgotten about parking Elliot Porter at UK for a semester and Joker letting him transfer back to LSU...There's an article over @ KSR which says UK isn't in the picture right now because Les Miles isn't likely to release Brown to any SEC team. If it was a homesickness issue then fine, but if it was because he was not good enough to get on the field at LSU what makes anyone think he can do it at UK? Both programs play in the SEC. Its not like he would be coming to UK to play against inferior teams. UK has to get the best they can get who can play at this level. Taking guys in who couldn't develop at other programs is not a recipe for success IMO. This kid in particular is a drama case that I do not think UK needs in its program. From the sound of it, he is not looking at UK anyway. He couldn't hack it at LSU so what makes anyone think he could here?
He was actually running third string at LSU and would likely never see the field there. He was a jerk to UK's coaches during the recruiting process. IMO, there's nothing to see here.If it was a homesickness issue then fine, but if it was because he was not good enough to get on the field at LSU what makes anyone think he can do it at UK? SEC rule.
Section 14.5.5.1 addresses such circumstances:
"A transfer student from a member institution shall not be eligible for intercollegiate competition at another member institution until the student has fulfilled a residence requirement of one full academic year (two full semesters) at the certifying institution. Further, a transfer student-athlete admitted after the 12th class day may not utilize that semester for the purpose of establishing residency. Student-athletes meeting the terms of NCAA Bylaws 14.5.5.2.1, 14.5.5.2.2, 14.5.5.2.3, 14.5.5.2.4, 14.5.5.2.5, 14.5.5.2.6, 14.5.5.2.7, 14.5.5.2.8, 14.5.5.2.9 may seek a waiver for the provisions of this bylaw."
So how is this any different than the NCAA's general rule re transfers from one division one school to another? Other than the graduate transfer exception, I don't see any difference. (didn't track down all those NCAA rules listed in the last sentence)

Are you asking me? For the past 4 weeks the media has been commenting on the SEC's rule that does not allow any student athlete to transfer to another SEC school without a waiver in light of the departures from Bama. I don't care enough to research it. If ESPN ha that wrong, it should be revealed.
The Alabama situation was different. He was a graduate transfer and Alabama itself was blocking him
