Last year food menu at CWS for the average fan was not good. The hot dogs were low quality and the buns were always dry. The big red sausage with peppers and onions was a little better, but could be better and the barbecue sandwich would been ok if it had more barbecue meat on the bun. The cheese burgers was their best sandwich. What do you all think and what wood like to see on the menu at CWS next year???

Deep fried cardinals sounds great but last year we had them on CWS menu and only thing we had to eat was bird dropping that wasn't good at all, LOL!!

I was definitely disappointed with the food selection at the EKU game. It was like papa johns, popcorn, or hot dog. Kinda shocking

I went to the Oklahoma vs. Tennessee game last year with a friend b/c we were playing USCjr away. Neyland stadium had bad parking options but real nice options like quality chicken tacos, some kind of grilled Italian sandwich, and then the standard concessions options but of good quality. The seats were in the Terace area but very nice overall , and no reason UK should not do the same , especially after a multi million do all " upgrade". It was also nice that the Sooners let the air outta that stadium with an OT win and the Cats won on the road.

I don't see why ,with all the Lexington based franchises that we could not incorporate someone like Applebee's to come in and bring something with more quality to the concession stands . Seems like a win win situation.

Absolutely...

Needs to be an upgrade in quality and an increase in variety...

I wish the university would get more involved with local vendors and food producers and work some kind of deal to where those guys could be a part of game day...

Went to the Liberty bowl last time the cats were there. Old stadium in a bad neighborhood , but they had smokers doing Memphis BBQ and it was awesome, and home made sweet tea. That does not seem like a hard task to pull off. But leave it to Mitch to never get on board in time.

They should lead space to food vendors and food carts. Maybe allow several food trucks to set up around the lower concourse.

Tolly Ho needs a concession in the stadium. I sure could go for a Ho burger right now.

I haven't for the life of me figured out why people pay the exorbitant prices venues charge for average food. They can get a Coke, hotdog or pizza anytime they want throughout the week for a fifth of what they charge at the stadium. I get that there is an upcharge but it would seem that a more moderate upcharge wouldn't run as many people away from the concession stand or possibly even the stadium itself.

The other thing that they could do is sell specialty foods. They could get people to pay a premium for stuff they can't get everyday. They have a few of those things with kettle corn and lemon ice but there are so many other things. They could get a good price for Philly Cheese Steak, Turkey Legs, Corn on the Cobb or funnel cakes.

I guess I am in the minority. I don't worry about concessions much when I go to games. I just get there early and get a drink and some popcorn if I am hungry and hit up McDonalds on the way home. Much cheaper and tastes better than crappy concessions food.

Actually, I think you are in the same boat as most of us. That is the point I was making earlier. You can get better food for a hell of a lot less at the tailgate or at a fast food joint on the way home. But what if they had some signature food like what you see at NFL stadiums? That might make you think twice about the MickyD's.

Great idea. If you have to sit through what we've had to witness the last 7-8 years the least they could do is provide better dining options at the games.
