They need to serve something with Rohypnol in it. Call it a "Big Blue Koolade" Would have been nice for the UL game.
I am sorry but if Mutton was the only thing BBQ'd I would starve to death. I have tried it twice at that famous place in Owensboro and I can definitely say I hate it.barbecued mutton sammich.

It was Moonlight but it was about 40 years ago. It was not a buffet then, a lot of people swear by mutton but I am not one of them. Now let me smoke you some butt, chicken or ribs and you will leave that crap alone. If you are talking about Moonlite, I can see why you feel the way that you do. Good buffet, but the BBQ is not so great, IMHO. If you want good BBQ mutton, I'd recommend going somewhere else.
FWIW, I really like BBQ mutton, but I never have liked Moonlite's BBQ mutton. It was Moonlight but it was about 40 years ago. It was not a buffet then, a lot of people swear by mutton but I am not one of them. Now let me smoke you some butt, chicken or ribs and you will leave that crap alone.
Fried Baloney Sammiches.
Now I know you're just trolling...I don't see why ,with all the Lexington based franchises that we could not incorporate someone like Applebee's to come in and bring something with more quality to the concession stands . Seems like a win win situation.
Old Hickory Bar-B-Q is the best I have had and I eat a lot of bar-b-q. I am also not a huge fan of mutton. There is a good reason tons of mutton has been cooked every year in Daviess County for 150 years. I personally prefer the pork but a couple of times a year I do have an urge for mutton. Most people that bar-b-q put so much sugar on it you might as well be eating congealed soda pop. Moonlight may not be the best you can find in Daviess County but if you know what you're doing it's still pretty good. A person needs to go to a few of those church picnics to get the real flavor of Daviess County bar-b-q. Those old farm boys were cooking for huge crowds before any of us even heard the word "festival" being thrown around.
Some folk talking about it remind me of what I saw in the liquor store last week---Texas Cowboy Bourbon.
Yeah Old Hickory is good but no restaurant is as good as those church picnics. Still if you go at the right time and know somebody at Moonlight who will help it is good. I lived in Owensboro for the better part of my life and can honestly say those picnics are the best I have ever had and I have had a lot myself. The picnics is the only place you can get the meat cooked the way it should be cooked.Old Hickory Bar-B-Q is the best I have had and I eat a lot of bar-b-q. I am also not a huge fan of mutton.
I will tell you who has good food is Keeneland. If UK can't come up with something on their own, they could contract with whoever does the Keeneland concessions. The more I think about it, they probably bid the contract out and go with whoever gives them the best deal. The problem with that is for these concession companies to come in with a good bid, they have to cut every corner possible. That formula pretty much guarantees a crappy product.
Only got to 1 game this year (UofL) and got there minutes before KO so I didn't get to see the "new Commonwealth". Bathrooms and concessions in visitors area were unchanged. Really a shame about concessions; it is really one of the worst venues for concessions that I have ever visited. Thought I read somewhere that Drake Jackson's dad was the vendor manager (Centerplate ?) at both CWS and PJCS/YUM!
Peace
You need to get your priorities in order.
And no, the food at either place isn't it.
Your post makes me wonder if they updated the home fans facilities and neglected the visitors?
That is actually a very good point. I surely hope they have somebody who monitors message boards and call in shows. Companies spend millions of dollars incentivizing patrons to fill out surveys so they can determine what it is they are doing right and wrong that drives folks to enter their doors. UK is in a somewhat unique situation in that they have patrons begging them to accommodate them and forums galore with as much feedback as they want to process.Suffice to say, the university (who reads these posts) should be paying attention to better service and hopefully a better food and drink experience this coming season.
Last year I replied to a post on rafters that one thing wrong with Rupp is that they didn't serve soft serve ice cream upstairs . This year they do and have large lines for it. Might be a coincidence but my guess is they do watch the boards for customer feedback .That is actually a very good point. That's exactly what I want - more long lines for concessions.Last year I replied to a post on rafters that one thing wrong with Rupp is that they didn't serve soft serve ice cream upstairs . Last year food menu at CWS for the average fan was not good. The hot dogs were low quality and the buns were always dry. The big red sausage with peppers and onions was a little better, but could be better and the barbecue sandwich would been ok if it had more barbecue meat on the bun. The cheese burgers was their best sandwich. What do you all think and what wood like to see on the menu at CWS next year???

Drake's dad is definitely not CenterPlate Mgr at PJCS or Yum. The stadium the Legends play in is the only CenterPlate location in Lexington.
I've worked concessions w/Centerplate as an NPO volunteer for the last 10 yrs (in final yr. daughter going of to college this fall). Regardless of concession vendor, with no alcohol at CWS, you'll have more teens working concessions at CWS. Since most booths at PJCS/Yum also have alcohol, more adults will be handling concessions. I've worked in the belly of the beast, so to speak, for several yrs and the food quality has varied greatly. Most of the time it's been fairly decent for what it is, though the burgers this past year were horrific. Yum and Slugger Field (Bats) actually have the better food choices over PJCS. The facility mgr for CenterPlate at PJCS is an Ole Miss grad. He and I are always talking SEC at UofLOL games. And I'm always more hospitable to visiting guests than I am to any of the locals. And I always wear a bit of BLUE anytime I'm working games.
You may have clicked on the wrong thread because we are talking about food on this one.i'd settle for better football. I don't go there for dinner but that's just me.

That makes sense if you change the question mark to a period. Don't sweat it, we all have those days where we get a little lost. Oh, and I weigh 230. That's about 20 lbs. more than my doctor says I should weigh but really I'm in pretty good shape for my age compared to most people in this country.Reading comprehension not working today? By the way just how much do you weigh?
