This has been on my mind for a while. I just wanted to say how impressed I was with watching the progression of Nyck as the season went along. At first I think he was a "project" player. After the first 3 game or so, he still seemed to be on the bubble of possibly failing. His routes weren't sharp, and he gave the appearance of being somewhat soft. But appearances can be deceiving.

As the season went on he got more touches and I don't recall him turning the ball over at any critical point. He never caved. And then during the last few games he did absolutely take some fairly decent hits and every time he jumped up with a warriors attitude that did not show itself earlier in the season.

This is only my opinion but I believe he was the most improved player on the team. Obviously, other people will say it was Sellars - but Sellars was always a "QB" while Nyck was a project. He's not a project anymore. He's a certified WR now - no more project labels - and he'll probably be considered one of the most dangerous WR's in the country this coming up season, if he's not considered that already. Hope he keeps his head on straight and keeps working hard.

Good points. By the way, the correct spelling is Sellers, not Sellars.

On the game winning TD run by Sellers against Clemson, Harbor was open, as well, but Sellers trusted his legs more than his arm and why not given the success he was having that day running.

But had Sellers thrown it and Harbor caught it for the TD, he would be down in Gamecock lore already, hopefully he has such play in 2025, seems more likely given his development in 2024.

The obvious decision by our coaches to incline him more toward his arm than his legs probably cost us the bowl game, adding to the hatefulness of that loss.
