That, in no way, has anything to do with the general topic. The point is the quality of the entire RTC along with its direct impact to the college wrestling program. When it comes to PSU, they are so far ahead in just about every category that matters. However, AFTER THEM, there is NO cogent argument that puts any other RTC ahead of the HWC in that regard.

Now, with the money DT has at his disposal, Cowboy RTC will likely pass HWC quickly if something doesn't change for the HWC. But, it isn't remotely accurate to act like a bunch of RTC's are running past the HWC...
Would be nice if Angelo stays and learns freestyle after graduation, but like his brothers, I think he dreams about getting his head kicked in with MMA after graduation.

I appreciate the feedback Bob and I know our guys are doing a great job. One of the names I was actually thinking while I was posting was Mocco. He is doing great things down in FL with American top team and having him there regularly could be all thats needed.
If I may make a personal request , I would love to see Michael Kemerer back in Iowa city if at all possible. He was one of the best technicians to come through Iowa in many years. Thanks for all you do Bob, Go Hawks!
LOVE Kem!!

A description of what they have might provide evidence to your assertion.
For all of them or just Ohio RTC? I don't feel like I need to justify Cowboy RTC, CKWC, or NLWC. Spartan and Ohio RTC would be an argument of preference. I would say Spartan RTC is better but Ohio RTC and HWC are pretty damn similar. Is that where HWC should be? Battling with Ohio RTC and Spartan RTC? You know it's not. They should be challenging NLWC for guys and at minimum be the clear #2. I don't have a dog in this fight, but it would seem Hawkeye fans are just asking to have proof of ROI. It's hard to keep asking for money if people don't see it being utilized properly, or at least what they believe is "properly". To just say well, " we need more money to get the results you want" but never deliver those results seems like an unsustainable way to fundraise.

You complainers are spoiled and your bitching is detrimental to your team. Yesterday I spent the afternoon with 4,800 other fans watching Ohio State dismantle Oregon State. Oregon State has been very competitive in the past, but I fear those days are over. We don’t have a booster like Bob, so the future looks bleak. You should appreciate what you have before it disappears!!!!
Are you in Corvallis? I watched the hawks wrestle there last season. The fans were great.

The HWC is seeming to get a leg up because the athletes wrestle with the current roster.

I know that happens at the NLWC but please keep quiet everyone so the other RTCs don’t figure that one out.

To" and "too" are homophones (sound alike) with different meanings: "To" shows direction/purpose or marks an infinitive verb (e.g., go to the store, want to run), while "too" means "also" or "excessively" (e.g., me too, too hot). A helpful tip: "Too" has an extra 'o' because it means "also" (an extra one came along) or signifies an excess (more than enough).
what about TWOOOO

Nice. I live in a large town about 30-40 minutes south of Corvallis. I’d like to catch more duals in Corvallis. The place was rocking when the Hawks came to town.
I'm guessing Eugene for you and Dallas or Monmouth for #6392Donald? I grew up in North Bend/Coos Bay and now live outside San Diego.

If any of the post-collegiates are wrestling folkstyle with Iowa athletes through the RTC, that's a violation.

Yeah I wish they were better. Always been a solid program. Hell just over 10 years ago now Jimmy had them in the top 10 for a couple years or so. Meanwhile Iowa got 3rd or 4th at that time too. Lol.

You got my location right. I was guessing Dallas or McMinnville for Donald. (I’m a Pinot fan and like spending time up there.)

Our program is not worse than any other team not named Penn State. In fact we have been better.

Since 2007 (Tom‘s first season at Iowa) these are the average team finish at nationals for the top programs. Second number is average minus the lowest scoring season for each team:

Iowa: 3.05/2.78. (Only team not to have a finish below 8th)
PSU: 3.16/2.39
ISU: 16.16/13.89
tOSU: 6.16/4.89
Okie St: 6.53/5.89
Nebraska: 9.11/8.44
Cornell: 5.21/4.83
Minnesota: 8.63/7.89

You actually don't know that. You have no idea who all posts here. If Bob wants to stop writing checks the day Iowa moves on from Brands. Then thank you for all you have done. If your loyalty to the program is tied to only to a coach then like I said- Thank you and NEXT
No, you didn't say thank you, you said he isn't one of us if he were to quit writing checks after TnT. It was a ****** post and you should just admit it and move on.

We have a good core now at HWC. Very likely that all of Ayala, Caliendo, and Kennedy stick around. The club is underrated. We have several current competitors, but there are guys in the club who come around and help coach. Some full time and some part time. Sorenson is a great coach and training partner. Marinelli too. I was watching Brooks recently coach Estrada on leg attacks while drilling with the Japanese wrestler (sorry forgot his name, who himself is great at leg attacks). So make a list yourself of HWC athletes who work with the college guys and it's impressive. Consider too that Steve Mocco will likely be around a fair amount once his son joins next fall.
Thanks for all you do Bob.
Who is Brooks?
I am seeing the current roster/wrestlers as:
Spencer Lee
Austin DeSanto
Brandon Sorenson
Stephen Buchanan
Jesse Ybarra
The current Iowa Wrestling team

Am I missing anyone?

Having Steve Mocco back will be huge!

There are many former wrestlers who stop in and help out, or don't stop in and still help out.

Awesome, so HWC has Lee who is on the downslope of his career...and they have...

Bob already said he is gone when they are. How many thousands of your level donations would it take to match his yearly contributions? How much more than that would be necessary to not only help with recruiting, but fund high end guys into HWC that would actually help the college team?

PSU has Ira and OkState had Pickens donate a huge amount of money to the Athletic Department in 2023 and then Richison jumped right in directly to wrestling.

If what has been said on here regarding compliance taking a strict, hard line stance in regards to the RTC is true, competing with those 2 programs is going to be incredibly difficult, even if you get a billionaire willing to step in after the Brands and Bob say good bye...

Even with all that, what guy is out there that you are that sure can handle all the necessary aspects to not only match Brands, but significantly exceed him? Short of another billionaire coming out of the woodwork to spend huge money on the program, the fix many on here want, simply isn't out there....
So, let me get this straight. Your program is tethered to the current coaching staff whose outdated methods will ensure a slow slide into mediocrity, because if they leave, you will lose the only major donor to the program which will hasten the slide to irrelevance? Fantastic. Love that for you guys.

Im glad those former wrestlers are helping the HWC produce multiple world and olympic medalists.
Thanks for your witty sarcasm. Very much appreciated.

For the most part people have provided respectful comments and opinions here. Great. I can assure you that when we don't win there is frustration and change. But, if you're just gonna take a pot shot with the justification of "hey, you aren't winning", it'll fall on deaf ears.

But, thanks for playing.
