Figured now that signing day is done and we have our new players and now we wait till spring practice why not discuss our thoughts on who we think the 2 deep for each position will be on offense and defense.

I have some changes I'm not sure how will shake out. I have George as a back up right now. I could see him starting at one of the guard spots. Laster I have at Slb and Hatcher moving to Rush backer. At will I have Jones starting but that spot is up for grabs. I think Timmons gets passed up by Richardson at slot. I could see Ross starting over baker or Badet.
Would pretty much agree on backs/receivers. OL I'd have:
LT: Leavitt and Meadows
LG: GAA and Mosier
C: Toth and Myers
RG: Meyers and Haynes
RT: Young and Stenberg
D's pretty close but I'd have:
OLB: Bonner/Hatcher
ILB: Jones/Daniels
ILB: Love/Firios
OLB: Laster/Ware
We finally have talent at lber and dB to where good prospects aren't expected to start. Lol
Myron walker is gonna see the field some. Griffin would be my guess of freshmen dbs to see the field this year. I totally forgot kg is moving to de and will be 270. He will play some and bell may be a pass rush specialist.
One guy that had an impressive offer list that seems to be falling down the depth chart is Jared Tucker. He got no pt last year and I don't see him beating out the frosh on the depth chart

I have seen Dubose mentioned on others depth charts. Stoops mentioned his injury. Does anybody know if he will be ready for spring?
If Coach Stoops decides to play Young this year, then Young and Leavitt will be our starting offensive tackles. Without knowing what Stoops will decide about Young, I believe these other true freshmen will play this year: K. Daniel, G. McKinniss, either J. Griffin or D. Robinson, either B. Snell or A. Rose.
Vince Marrow talked like K Looney would have to play this year. IDK, but I am guessing that Debose may not be 100%.I wonder this too. UK's so short of DT/NT types they can't afford injuries.

I don't see Haynes moving to right guard after playing left guard his whole time here. I see GAA and Haynes at LG and Meyers Mosier at RG . I also do not see Hatcher out of the lineup he is definetly one of the top 3 players on the whole defense. The decision whether to redshirt or play Landon Young this year will be 1 of Coach Stoops' most difficult decisions. Because of the 5 stars, most fans assume Young will play immediately. Because Kentucky's offensive line was a team weakness last year, the pressure to play Young right away will be overwhelming on Stoops. But history shows almost all offensive tackles, regardless of talent level, are better off with a redshirt. If Coach Stoops decides to play Young this year, then Young and Leavitt will be our starting offensive tackles. I agree Landon is as close to a sure fire draft pick UK has gotten in my lifetime.History shows the opposite for OT, Bama,LSU, AU all have started true frosh at L OT. If he is as good as most think he isn't going to be on campus more than 3 years regardless of RSing or not. History says great OTs, especially L OT leave as soon as they can because they are first round draft picks.
That is massive! I am thinking closer to 270-275.If K. Daniel is going to bulk up and make the move to play with his hand in the dirt, I'd love to see him redshirt this year and let him grow to 285-290 by the time he is playing more.
I agree the goal is to get to 270 and not lose the advantage you have in quickness over the Guard. That is massive! I am thinking closer to 270-275.
Stallings at OG backup?Gonna try and do full depth chart with weight and height.

This is how I would have it as well, I think Marrow said Leavitt will be at LT. Young can play RT for 2 seasons and then move to LT for his Junior and Senior seasons. I also think a lot of people have forgotten about Firios. I think he will play some significant minutes this year.
Kash > Firios
I think he will get most of those minutes.
Richardson is gone. Left the team last year.Yea I put Richardson instead.
I know I was thinking jervontious Richardson lol.Richardson is gone. Left the team last year.

KG is moving to dend. 6"5 270 is plenty big enough for that position. Big Z was 6"6 255. Farrington did not reach 280 until his senior year.I agree that is massive, but that is why I clarified it with IF he moves to a 3-4 DE position. I never really thought he'd move to the line full-time, so that's why I said "IF".
When he was recruited/committed, I thought he looked like a replacement for Hatcher. Is that what you thought as well?
