All I've been reading is $14 million but IF the buyout is $6 million (depending on when that date is) is very important to us fans who don't want him back for next season.
Normally, I go to the source. I haven't read Petrino's contract, but many other people evidently have. And I've never seen a number close to Forde's. I think he must have bumped his head this week...

Appears that the amount is roughly three years of his salary (see "golden parachute"). And rounding off, 3 X $4 mil = $12 million.
Note that by whatever analysis this site uses, his contract ranking was #44. Presumably, that means it was the 44th most lucrative contract in college sports--hardly the windfall that Petrino/Jurich haters wanna portray...

You know, I saw Greg Brohm at the game Friday. He was in his black. That family is all UofL. Not 100% on board with Jeff as HC, but it’d be kind of cool having the program run by one of its own.
