I've never been a coach. I have a couple questions for those who have coached. At what point do you make changes on your staff? At what point do you run the risk of being known as a coach who fires assistant coaches too quickly therefore not being able to get access to the best available?
I hope SB can figure this out, maybe even getting advice from his dad's many years of experience in handling such matters.

If you are referring to Satterfield, the question is kind of two-fold. You have to truly look to see if any positions are handicapping what Satterfield is trying to do. If, after a thorough evaluation it is determined that a position group/groups are significantly hindering progress, you cut ties with the position coach/coaches. If no significant issues are found with position guys, the OC has to go.

In any event, unless marked growth occurs, I think the changes will begin this off-season (although Satterfield may dodge the bullet). In fact, Beamer’s success may depend on it. As much as we hate on Dabo, he cut Billy Napier loose after year two (really just one) when when he felt his group did not meet the standard.

I recall hearing people say Tanner’s wagon was hitched to Muschamp.

Trust me, he's leaning on his dad for help with this. Also, now that players can jump into the portal they too will have a say in what goes down with replacing staff.
