I gotta admit I love these leagues. You always see players who you vaguely remember as starting in college four years ago, but still trying to make the NFL and this is their last chance.

And it's football on TV April-June!

I wonder if a 6 team league could make it. Teams and players would be affiliated with a P5 league and one independent . The teams would rotate games through their affiliated stadiums for instance the B1G would play home games in B1G stadiums, the SEC in their stadiums etc. Each game would be like a one time special event and promoted as such. It is likely that every team would have several players from each school in their conference to stimulate interest

Houston Gamblers...NJ Generals...Pittsburgh Maulers...Tampa Bay Bandits...it's like they're not even trying.

Take one look at the names they've come up with and you realize it's already being run by idiots with no sense for how to build markets...which is to say nothing about the revival of the "USFL" brand, which by itself has no favorable equity.

I am actually a fan of getting a league like this off the ground and had hopes for the most recent XFL which COVID killed, but...whatever.
