I know it’s popular to rip Schilling, but with Wakefield I don’t think it was that big of deal.
That's interesting because he immediately apologized after stating it, even mentioned he didn't know if he should even comment on it and was universally told to shut up by everyone associated with Wakefield as a result.
This has nothing to do with his political takes, his defrauding of the state of Rhode Island or his incendiary social media presence. The dude used a supposed friend to drum up interest in his podcast.
Also, I'd understand if Tim told Curt he was dealing with cancer and didn't really specifically say that he didn't want it made public, but that isn't what happened. Curt got the information from Doug Mirabelli who likely got it directly from the Red Sox organization. Safe to assume Doug thought Curt could "keep it in the family" so to speak.
