Gatewood was moved to wide receiver prior to the 2022 season and did not record any stats for UCF.

-good for Him. Seemed like a good kid, prolly should've changed positions earlier. Hope he does well...with one notable annual exception.
He was an above average athlete for a QB but I don’t think he’ll blow anyone away with athleticism at other positions. I remember thinking he’d be a freaky athlete but he really wasn’t. Very overrated as a high school recruit

Remember him playing Trevor Lawrence's team when they were in HS. Could very well have been the best athlete on the field, but was 3rd best QB or lower. TE is where he should have started out, but I guess his dream was to be a college QB.

4th team? OK, THIS time he's gonna make an impact, I just know it. Maybe he ought to face reality that pro football isn't in his future and get a degree that he can actually use. As many schools as he's attended, he ought to have 300 credits by this time. Should have a PhD in something.

NFL teams picking AR15 be like....dude is 6'5, 230 lbs can he hit the roof with the football? Sounds like an elite NFL QB to me.
My mercy, this young man was our starting qb against Georgia in 2020. What a journey for him.
Good luck to the guy. He likely should have been tight end or bulked up for linebacker all along.
4 schools and 3 position changes. Gatewood is a good example of why I try not to get too stoked or too down over any given recruit regardless of star rating.

He should've done that years ago. May be too late, but hopefully not. Hope he really comes into his own at the position in January of 2024.

I always thought the kid would make a wonderful TE or something. He wasn't a very good QB at this level but he's a monster of a kid. Best of luck except 1 game.
