We really don't care about any of this...and that just is what it is.

No need to go back and forth about a bowl 25 years ago. Would be a nice topic on Cardinal Sports rivals though.

Cool...back on Dez Fitzpatrick...he Decommitted...our Class Ranking for 2016 Dropped from 18th to 24th...still in on some quality players but to finish this class Louisville needs at least 1 DL, 1 OL & a RB...WR IMO is not a area of need

I mean is this clown serious? Sadly, he is. I pinch myself everyday that I wasn't born into Chiken Fandom. Bizzarre people to say the least. PS, I consider it a badge of honor that " I don't remember" any of U of L's history. What a bunch of jealous, inscecure loons.

To be fair, he is usually alright...just rivalry week I guess...gets everyone a little less tolerant!

He has to be civil, so as not to get kicked off. That doesn't make him "alright" in my book as you know he's just another dispiciable UK hater when he's with his fellow line-beards.

When UL lost his friend to Harbaugh, I thought it would be difficult to hold onto Dez. UL fans were adament that he was firmly in place. The CJ wrote articles talking about how firm to the Cards he remained. Now UM is headed to a bowl and is showing incredible improvement in JH's first year. Keeping him was gonna be a difficult task, now might be impossible. Rarely do players decommit and then recommit.

Question...do you see Staples declaring for the NFL draft?

He looks to be ready to make the jump.
I don't know, honestly. With the team's general season's incompetence, some of the players who were on the draft watch list have slid backwards. That could work in Louisville's favor if they were actually that good, lol. Which is a question we would like Harvy-Cleamons to take a long look at. If he jumped, many UofL fans would be secretly delighted. His game went and cavitated straight downhill. From the 12 tackles against Auburn and the early interceptions, he has strangely become a symbol of defensive ineptitude. Deservedly so, no less. Boom Williams could very well put an exclamation point on this. He could make him a statue.

I imagine Staples returns. The limits imposed by our O Line and the unfortunate youth at QB in dealing with it, may not be enough to overcome. Inasmuch as he just had a 200 yard ball game, if he repeated that against UK, that could draw some attention. He has a good personality and no entourages or anything like that. makes good grades en route to being the first college grad in his family, I believe I read. He has some compelling reasons to stay.

Nah, pretty smart. UL is obviously evolving strangely into a read option/QB run dominated offense. Why play WR and stand around watching Jackson/Bonnafon/Pass run around?
Staples gained 196 yards last week on 15 catches. Half of those were from your read option guy, including a 49 yard TD on his second play from scrimmage and who has twice the arm of Bolin..

I would think that - laughs - is 50% of why people post, don't you boys? Or is the serious business of sports just too compelling to waver into humor?

Devante Parker had 43 receptions for 855 yards (19.9 avg) with a long of 71 and 5 TDs in an injury short 2014 season (6 games). Staples has 599 yards (17.1 avg) with a long of 57 and 3 TDs in an injury shortened season (7 games). Staples probably could jump early and get drafted. He probably is better served by coming back with the intention of improving his draft stock.

Uh...not really...The Fiesta Bowl in 1987 hosted the 1987 National Title Game between Miami and Penn State and again in 1989 between Notre Dame and WVU. Louisville-Alabama was 1991 and a established NYD Bowl...Nice try
It wasn't a minor bowl but the ONLY reason U of L or Alabama were in it was because of the controversy over the Martin Luther King Jr Holiday in Arizona. Nobody even remotely close to being deserving of a major bowl bid would go anywhere near it.

No...more than likely he is headed to Nebraska...Michigan isn't really recruiting him.

Still have a Top 25 Class with 21 Commits...great player but at this point more in the need of OL/RB to finish off this Class...already have enough quality Freshmen WR on the current roster plus quality WR already committed for 2016.
Strippers and Whores work in Football recruiting right junior?

Rivals Recruiting Ranking currently is in the Top 25....also Louisville beat Florida in the Sugar Bowl not the Orange Bowl...the Orange Bowl win was against Wake Forest and the Fiesta Bowl win was over Alabama...

Also, collapsing for good....last I check 6th straight bowl season even while rebuilding and starting as many as 8 Freshmen on offense this year...ok if you say so.
OK whatever...unless Clemson, Fla st. Pit and a couple of others leave the acc you have seen the last of the majors you THOUGHT you were going to be playing in

The Fiesta Bowl over Alabama...haha...they love propping that one up from 25 years ago.
At that time the Fiesta Bowl was a very minor bowl and Alabama did not finish the season as a ranked team in either poll.
Honest truth is in '87 Otis and Bama were the only two teams that would go to that bowl because of racial strife in Arizona because is MLK day..

whats disturbing to me is that we can play football games on any day..thanksgiving, christmas, new years, 9/11 etc etc... but not on MLK day..and that was 25 years ago
