Donnie has a habit of leaving a trail of embarrassment and shame wherever he goes.... tweet tweet

Fox News pulled senior judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano off the air indefinitely following growing controversy over his dubious claim that Barack Obama used the British intelligence services to wiretap Trump Tower during the 2016 presidential election, the LA Times reports.

Napolitano made the claim last Tuesday, in an interview with “Fox and Friends.”

“Three intelligence sources have informed Fox News that President Obama went outside the chain of command,” Napolitano said. “He didn’t use the NSA, he didn’t use the CIA, he didn’t use the FBI and he didn’t use the Department of Justice. He used GCHQ [Government Communications Headquarters].”

A spokesman for the GCHQ immediately rejected Napolitano’s claim, but that didn’t stop White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer from citing the judge last Thursday at a press conference. Trump similarly repeated the claim Friday at a joint press conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

“You shouldn’t be talking to me; you should be talking to Fox News,” Trump said when asked about those unsubstantiated claims

Fox News host Shep Smith refused to let Trump deflect blame for citing Napolitano’s comments, telling his audience on Friday, “Fox News knows of no evidence of any kind that the now-president of the United States was surveilled at any time, in any way.”

Fox is fake news central and small hands' go to place for conspiracy theories. Now the so called prez and the White House's favorite thing to do is quote questionable news sources and/or right wing blogs and then just blame it on the weak news source when it's found out that the story is total BS, totally lame and pure slime. No credibility.

Notice too that when Trumplethinskin was defending his tweet in front of Merkel at the PC, he said "we" heard it on Fox from a "respected" legal mind. Not "I". Said "we" several times. He won't take any responsibility even though it was his tweet. What a coward.

Good on FoxNews for setting a standard of acceptability. Report fake news on their air and you're done. Wonder if the other MSM outlets will follow suit. Looks like Fox is leading in the ethics department.

Might be a touch too optimistic in regards to FOX, but good move none the less.

I honestly don't know, did Fox & Friends retract the "report"?

Seeing the problem only on one side or one source then you lose credibility.

What about Sean "Deep State" Hannity? Or Bret Baier, the originator of the "Obama tapped Trump Tower" shtick?
Did Sean say something untrue regarding individuals in the IC leaking of information? I thought we had established that as fact?

No idea. I think the very public step of pulling judge Nap off the air is a good start though.
I hope they did retract the report, but totally agree they deserve praise for pulling him off the air. I think I also read about a Fox News radio guy going off on the gateway pundit being the WH press briefing room. Many kudos on that as well. Hopefully Fox can be a conservative voice that doesn't tolerate all the low intelligence conspiracy ********.

He accused our intelligence community of being a "deep state". He needs to come back to reality. And no, we haven't established leaking of information as fact. What has been shared with officials with proper clearance is people in the Trump campaign had communications with Russian officials. The content of those communications has not been released.

The very fact that he's tweeting felonious accusations from baseless unsubstantiated media sources scares the **** out of me. He's a freaking child. He did the same thing with that lie about 3 million illegal voters. It's nothing but a lie. He can blame his source all he wants, but the minute he puts it in a tweet, it's HIS.

Can you imagine if he ever needs to try to convince allies to commit troops somewhere based on info that he provides them? He has a major credibility issue. As in none.

Great point, never thought of that. Nobody believes anything he says. It will all boil down to Tillerson et al to establish credibility.

What scares the hell out of me is Trump using a major war as a distraction and a means of silencing his so-called "many enemies" in the states. Can you imagine what would happen if Donnie pulls the trigger on North Korea? I know it's already crossed his mind and I guarantee Donnie's own "deep state" have discussed it. Remember how 9/11 united the country? Something like 9/11 would be a "get out of jail free" card for Donnie. I don't put anything passed this group of frauds and liars running our country and the feeble minded minion supporting them.

The bunker businesses must be booming. Nuts on both sides.

So. Unless they can say for certain what those communications were about, they could have just been talking grand kids, yoga lessons, and Chelsea's wedding.

Yes, we will find out in due time, either way.

Don't you find it strange that numerous members of a campaign would have a considerable amount of communication with Russia the spring, summer and fall leading up to an election?

Don't you find it strange that only the DNC was hacked, or at least it was only revealed that the DNC was hacked?

Don't you find it strange that Flynn resigned for lying and now Sessions has been caught lying?

Dog....you at least have a "show me proof" attitude that is accompanied by a openness to the possibility. I respect that. If more people from the right had that attitude, I'd be less concerned and just await the investigation's results. But most Trump supporters swear that this is all political smokescreen, and I'm not sure there isn't fire.

This is the only item of concern that I have. It's entirely as plausible there could have been legitimate business dealings with entities of the Russian state by those individuals.
Don't you find it strange that only the DNC was hacked, or at least it was only revealed that the DNC was hacked?
Not at all. The RNC was as well, but as Assange acknowledged, they didn't find anything worth noting. I operate under the assumption every day that my work stuff is being hacked, read by my employer, etc. And don't forget, it wasn't just the DNC, Team Clinton was hacked as well. I was appalled at how easy it was but when I read that Podesta gave the damn password as part of a Phishing attempt, the answer is no to your question. In the instance of the DNC and Podesta's stuff being hacked, I think the story here is WHAT was in the emails. I don't care that they were hacked or by whom. The thing that irritates me are people on the left not being concerned at all. It's not like there were lies that were published. Team Clinton and the DNC were corrupt as all hell and I'm glad that was released. People needed to know that. With that said, had the GOP been found with the same type of stuff in their emails, I would have been as glad that it was released.

Don't you find it strange that Flynn resigned for lying and now Sessions has been caught lying?
No. I'm amazed Flynn had the audacity to lie after clearly being caught. I think the Sessions thing was part of a bigger strategy to marginalize him or rather sideline him in the hopes of getting a left friendlier #2 in place to keep the heat on over the Russia stuff. Sessions was blown way the hell out of proportion but after it blew up he did the right thing. This outrage by the left was akin to the what does "Is" mean.
