The only crime we know for certain in this entire deal is the unmasking and leaking of names to the media. Russian collusion is seemingly going nowhere.

FOX Expert Herridge: Comey Was Fired Because He Refused to Reveal Obama Unmaskers (VIDEO)

Jim Hoft May 10th, 2017 9:15 am 167 Comments

FOX News national security expert Catherine Herridge told The Five last night that FBI Director James Comey was fired because he refused to reveal the Obama administration “unmaskers” to President Trump.

The Obama administration spied on and unmasked the identities and conversations of several Americans in 2016 including officials close to President-elect Donald Trump.

General Michael Flynn resigned after Obama officials leaked his discussions with the Russian ambassador – which were completely legal – to the liberal media.

Herridge said Comey stalled turning the information over to the Trump administration.

Catherine Herridge: The accusation against the former FBI director, and this comes mostly from Republicans, is that he has been sort of slow walking records about the Americans who were identified or unmasked in these intelligence reports and providing them to Congress. And the reason that’s a big deal is that everyone in the IC, in the intelligence community knows that there is no bigger, deeper, wider, extensive paper trail than there is when you unmask or identify an American citizen. And it should not take months. It should take weeks if not the course of several days to know who was unmasked and who made those requests and that has not been provided.

Comey also claiming he could not find any "intent" in Hillary's violations of the espionage act with her illegal server also made him look like a buffoon because that is not what the Law requires to be in violation of the statute. He had plenty of evidence to recommend her being incited and he wimped out.

Just as he did on the unmasking question and the whole FISA illegal charade.

Glad he is gone.

There are a plethora of reasons why Comey deserved to be fired, Fox is going to say one thing, CNN, MSNBC are going to say another and the truth is something all together different I would imagine. I'm just glad he's gone myself, he was part of the swamp.

He needed to go. If everyone were honest, they would agree. The Dems have been calling for his firing for months now.

Even if intent were part of the law (which it is decidedly not), Clinton showed intent by using a private server and deleting thousands of emails all the while lying about it. That shows clear intent.

She is a serious reporter, if you have evidence to the contrary, please provide it.
I'm mostly laughing at the administration and Trump in particular. Why such a ruse about Clinton emails and lack of trust? Whatever happened to the FBI's independence? lmao. What a f'n clown show this admin and its supporters are.

Can you imagine Clinton firing the head of the FBI for not running an investigation to her liking? Just true, classic Trump "leadership".

One of Hillary' s closest advisors said this morning that she is not sure if Clinton would have kept Comey on. Hmmmm. Nice try. Comey became far too political. He became a sideshow. It was not his job to absolve Hillary, that was for the DOJ. Then he mislead about Huma's emails to the Senate committee. Lastly, he apparently was not pursuing the leak investigation and unmasking, the only crime we know about thus far.

Wrong.

Flynn failed to report being a foreign agent and receiving payments from both Turkey and Russia.

Why in the f'uck do you think he was asking for a plea deal?

Others have lied under oath as well regarding meetings with Russian agents and payments.

Podesta failed to register as a foreign agent and received far more money than Flynn. This stuff is typically not prosecuted.

But leaking and unmasking is a very serious crime.

BTW, who lied under oath?

You may have missed it. I am 1,000% behind dumping Comey, especially after another public fu*k up last week. That said, the Trump admin has once again completely botched this. No message, no plan, no clue.

Read what you just typed and let it sink in.
Someone failing to report money received from a foreign government, being a foreign agent, and then sitting in top secret US meetings isn't serious? You've got to be kidding me.

See what happens when you attempt to defend total stupidity?

Surely you aren't this stupid.

LOL. Your hatred of Trump is blinding you. They had a plan. They had to get Rod Rosenstein in place first. Together, Sessions and Rosenstein recommended Comey be fired. The message was clear as per the letters accompanying the recommendation. Comey was not doing his job. He had become politicized. Dems wanted him gone, now they hate it. They are the hypocrites.

Rod Rosenstein, who recommended to President Trump that he fire FBI Director James Comey, is widely respected by both career civil servants and members of both political parties.

The Justice Department's newly appointed deputy attorney general earned praise from Democrats during confirmation hearings earlier this year before getting overwhelming approval, 94-6, in the Senate.

At no point in those hearings was Rosenstein asked whether he felt that Comey was up to the task of leading the FBI throughout multiple, highly politicized investigations. Democrats did press him, repeatedly, to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate allegations of Russian influence on the U.S. presidential election and alleged collusion with the Trump campaign.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., for example, said that Rosenstein has “impressive credentials” and she does not question his “integrity.” But she said: “We need steel spines and there is a real danger the Justice Department could become politicized.”

TRUMP FIRES COMEY: POSSIBLE REPLACEMENTS FOR TERMINATED FBI DIRECTOR

So it came as a surprise to some when his letter explaining his decision regarding Comey pointed at the former FBI director’s questionable handling of the Clinton probe.

“I cannot defend the director's handling of the conclusion of the investigation of Secretary Clinton's emails,” Rosenstein wrote, “and I do not understand his refusal to accept the nearly universal judgment that he was mistaken. Almost everyone agrees that the director made serious mistakes; it is one of the few issues that unites people of diverse perspectives.”

Interviews with former colleagues and attorneys who know Rosenstein professionally all say he is a prosecutor who is working to defend the integrity and the independence of the Justice Department.

“Regardless of his title and his position, he makes decisions the same way he did during his decades as a career prosecutor,” said former DOJ attorney Jason Weinstein, who worked with Rosenstein during the Bush and Obama administrations, “That means following the facts wherever they lead, pursuing justice and doing the right thing -- without regard for politics. This is a partisan minefield no matter what he decides, but partisanship won't be part of the equation for him.”

Rosenstein has a long track record in high-profile cases that bolster his reputation for independence.

You said laws were broken. That has yet to be proved. What has been proven is that illegal leaks occurred.

BTW, who lied under oath. You made the allegation. Back it up.

Podesta failed to report foreign money being received as well. He failed to register as a foreign agent. This is rarely prosecuted. We will see if Flynn is ultimately convicted of crimes, but no crimes have thus far been proven. The only proven crime is the leaks.

Jeff Sessions.

You have selective memory.

He did not lie under oath. Watch the question and Session's answer. Have charges been brought? No charges, no crime.

Even a periously liberal fact check site acknowledges this:

http://www.factcheck.org/2017/03/did-sessions-lie/

At the Jan. 10 hearing, Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn., asked Sessions about allegations that associates of the Trump campaign corresponded with Russian government intermediaries. In his response, Sessions said he didn’t communicate with any Russians. (That comment is in bold.)

Franken: "CNN just published a story alleging that the intelligence community provided documents to the president-elect last week that included information that quote, ‘Russian operatives claimed to have compromising personal and financial information about Mr. Trump.’ These documents also allegedly say quote, ‘There was a continuing exchange of information during the campaign between Trump's surrogates and intermediaries for the Russian government.’

"Now, again, I'm telling you this as it's coming out, so you know. But if it's true, it's obviously extremely serious and if there is any evidence that anyone affiliated with the Trump campaign communicated with the Russian government in the course of this campaign, what will you do?"

Sessions: "Senator Franken, I'm not aware of any of those activities. I have been called a surrogate at a time or two in that campaign and I didn't have — did not have communications with the Russians, and I'm unable to comment on it."

Sessions and spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores have said his statement was truthful because he met with the Russian ambassador in his capacity as a senator, not as a Trump campaign surrogate.

Everyone on planet earth realizes he wasn't being questioned as a Senator; he was being questioned as part of his confirmation hearing for AG. Yes, he lied.

Wrong again. Even politifact, a very liberal site, could not state that he lied. He interpreted the question in a certain way, not a lie. Nice try.

BTW, did Hillary ever lie under oath? LOL.

They aren't liberal, we have had this discussion before. They (FactCheck) said they would leave the interpretation up to the reader....but hinted at the logical conclusion, he lied.

Leahy: Several of the President-Elect’s nominees or senior advisers have Russian ties. Have you been in contact with anyone connected to any part of the Russian government about the 2016 election, either before or after election day?

Sessions: No.

What is so special about Comey? The FBI has thousands of investigators and most of them, unlike Comey, would probably focus on the investigation and not his/her future political career.

Trump Fired Comey When He Was In Los Angeles & Not In D.C.

Without a shred of doubt, Trump ordered all of Comey's files & email accounts, his desk, everything locked down and secured and all his passwords cancelled the moment the WH announced Comey's firing.

I posted the other day if he wasn't corrupt, he was incompetent, if he isn't incompetent he is most assuredly stupid, and if he's not stupid then he is both corrupt AND incompetent!
Whatever of the 3 he is, he shouldn't be leading the FBI...good riddance
