New Year, same usual suspects in the FOX
While PR may have been KING the last two year, I believe we will have a "Return of the real KING" this year as Cary takes back the FOX. Watch out for Jacobs, and the always tough Huntley RedRaiders. Could have some teams making playoff runs in Dundee and CLS. McHenry should be tough, but could be a tough year on CLC and Hampshire. With that said, let's hear the predictions:
Jacobs @ Hampshire
Well, new year, new coaches for Hampshire, week 1’s match up will yield the same result of 2017. Jacobs is tough the team I believe will compete best with Cary for the FVC title. The Joey Price show begins today, and Stephan Kavanaugh should be running wild.
48-7 jacobs
Dundee @ Grayslake North
DC returns 9 starters on Offense w/ Raby leading the way at QB, and Rickey Ibarra the top returning rusher in the FVC. Putting up points shouldn’t be a problem, keeping them off the board maybe. If making the playoffs for the 1st time since 2013 is a goal, they need this win. They will be put to the test w/ a Grayslake North team that was in the playoffs last year. I’m a believer in the Highlanders, so I’ll go 38-28 with the victory.
Cary @ Crystal Lake South
First obstacle on the road to Champaign is the great wall of Crystal Lake. Last year, wasn't an issue, will 1 year make a difference? We will see. Cary has been to the playoffs 14 straight years, no reason to think that won't continue, however, a road trip South is the goal late Nov.
Cary 35- CLS 7
Crystal Lake Central @ Prairie Ridge
PR has pretty much OWNED the Tigers in Football, I believe in the 21 year history, the Tigers have won once? That won't change today. While I hope the tiggers have a JV team this year, Munn and Keene are going to have a busy day chasing down Willis and Leydon. PR will be an intersting team this year. PR 42- CLC 14
Huntley @ McHenry
McHenry has a new coach and a play maker in Crowley, Huntley has an alot of new players on O and a tough defense. I expect Huntley big in this one
Huntley 48- McH 7
Let's see your picks and thoughts...
