Clive...thanks so much for the link....I also listened to two of the players post game. They gave credit....they said its so frustrating to be near the basket and all you can see is blue and hands....you can't shot and you can't see to pass.

Thanks for posting this link...this is what makes this board worth coming to, outside of all the snarky posts and responses there are in most threads.

You added true value to the board...

I have to say I like Frank Martin. He's a good coach. If he had some more talent to work with his teams would win even more.

And he's right about the SEC. This conference is better than the national media wants everyone to believe. Everyone's raving about the B12 but this South Carolina team dominated 2 of the best teams in that league, whipping Iowa St on a neutral floor. How can anyone look at that and then realize that SC has struggled to get any wins in the SEC but atill say the league isn't any good?

spot on . i would rank Martin somewhere around 12-20 in the best college coaches and for USC to have someone that good is great for the SEC. Kennedy at Texas A &M is also a good coach but Arkansas and a few others in conference need to improve their coaches desperately .

I hope everyone remembers this interview, because Frank can say things at times that will rub you the wrong way (if it's directed at your team). But he's one of my favorite personalities in college bball today. He's Bobby Knight with a conscience.

I used not to like him when he was KSU...I thought he just tried to be a bully and intimidate people for show. After watching him more and listening to him more, I really, really like him.

Have you ever been to Kansas?? Flat and boring. I am sure S.C. is a much nicer place to live. Also, K-State will never be able to recruit nationally and Kansas owns that state. S.C. is actually pretty fertile recruiting grounds for basketball talent.

He was pissed off at the AD. Pissed off enough to leave that job. I think it had something to with the AD declaring one of the players as ineligible, and Frank disagreed. Frank thought the AD screwed the kid over and it burned him up. I forgot the whole story behind it.
