I don't buy the idea that Riley was a second choice for USC. Comparing who is getting hired with the lists of candidates that had been thrown out there by various talking heads, I think 99.999% of what is being thrown out there is the writer/speaker's guess and nothing more. I'm not knocking you for repeating what Neuheisel said, I just think he's doing with the rest are doing.

Who knows what is ultimately true, but Fickell was Bohns guy at Cinci, so it makes sense he would want him in LA, also makes sense that Fickell, a Catholic.idwest guy would really want ND. Think ND still in the playoff pic just couldn't wait on Fickell and had to make this move.
Fickell to ND would have made a ton of sense for both parties. I wonder if ND tried to get him to jump early with all the rest of the changes and Fickell refused. If that's the case, I commend Fickell for sticking it out in Cincinnati. That had to be a very tough decision.
