#1 - Probably wouldn't have even beat Clemson.
#2 - Would be getting out rebounded by 7+ at half and Florida probably has 50+ points.

He'll go someday if Iowa doesn't show appreciation. I bet he sticks around at least until his kids graduate high school. He'll probably get some offers now that he'll entertain to probably add on another $500k or $1M to his salary at Iowa, but I don't think the big basketball brands who can offer $3-4M more than what Iowa can will fawn over him just yet or our slower style.Iowa is his dream school he ain’t going any
He's going to get high-major offers for taking a high-major 9 seed to the Sweet Sixteen? Sorry, not seeing it. Now if he's only here a few years because he's been so successful (conference title, deep tourney runs, National Championship, etc) and gets snapped up by a non-Big Ten blue blood or an NBA team, so be it. Iowa fans shouldn't be afraid of that scenario. He'll go someday if Iowa doesn't show appreciation. I bet he sticks around at least until his kids graduate high school. Didn't have the defensive culture or rebounding culture. Fran's teams were horrible rebounding teams.Fran had teams that could take down anyone in the country if our 3pt shots were falling. He did it int he regular season a few times. But all too often once we got to the postseason our shots stopped falling from tired legs and we didn’t have the defense to keep us in the game.
Of course he will be…doesn’t mean he’ll leave but there will be inquiries for sure.My concern, is Ben McCollum the hot coach in the new coach searches around the country?

Fran served a purpose and filled it well. Tghe length of his stay might have been too long but when he was hired he promised UIowa would score lots of points…..they did…and Fran also brought in several NBA caliber players to the program his last 5-6 years here. Players that the previous couple of coaches could not bring into to the program.Eff Fran. Go Hawks. Fran basketball was bloated and lazy.
Until he does…..but why worry about it? There will probably be a time over the next few years where you will wish he was gone…..that too is the nature of coaching.Let it go stupid!
