I'm sure his parents loved him all the same.
They did a wonderful job of raising him too. I'm sure they earned every bit of that 6.4 million dollars. Can't wait to see them driving around with a "Cruising in Memory of Freddie" sticker on the back of their car.

6.4 million ain't bad.....

Wonder how long it'll take them to piss through it?
The lawyers get approximately 40% plus costs. Not sure how much their cost would be on this but that's the real tragedy. How much the lawyers get from these claims.

The next time RPJ calls you a racist or a bigot, don't get your panties in a wad. You are and so is Eers3:16.
And this AM Dr Ben Carson said those that only see the world in black and white are the true racist. You are and so is your associate. Should I apply the other descriptive words of him to you? And he said he sucks cock better than Knox. Assume you are in that category too?

If they had a lawyer for this case they are idiots. That mayor was anxious to give as much as was requested by whomever.

They are clueless too. I work with a black engineer who moved here about a year ago and drives a Mercedes, he has been pulled over four times and never given a ticket. I can't even remember the last time I was pulled over.

I think you need to be commended for obeying the laws. I have been pulled over several times and did not get ticketed. You think your engineer friend would be grateful for not getting a ticket, I was

That's what he gets for driving a Mercedes.

Same thing happened recently to a friend of mine, except he was driving a pickup truck. I wouldn't deny that DWB happens, on a regular basis, however we need to also be honest about how Baltimore has handled this case from the get go.

Living here I follow it a lot more closely than most.

Did you know this? $500k of the Wrongful Death suit is being given to Mosby's campaign? Did you also know this is the highest award in the history of Baltimore when there has yet even be a determination into the culpability of the city?

How much did Billy Murphy pocket on this deal?

33% less the $500k which is going to Marilyn Mosby. WTF? Honestly, WTF? I don't care that the family got the money, we still don't know if they really deserved it because autopsy results have been sealed, but let's go with the theory they did. The family's attorney kicking $500k back to the very DA's war chest prosecuting the case, nevermind the fact that the city may not even be culpable. The speculation is that Mosby knows full well she isn't going to win this case and this is considered "hush money" to ensure there isn't a repeat of Mondawmin which is why the amount was so excessive compared to similar cases. Oh yea, SRB (mayor) was trying to get FEMA dollars to cover the city's losses at the expense of the riot which from some police friends of mine were a direct result of orders they received which came from?.....you guessed it, SRB herself, determined to not have a repeat of Ferguson. Last little nugget. All Police retirements have been halted for the next 3-4 months. Why you ask? Because there was a giant influx of retirement submittals to the point of the Police force not being able to adequately maintain order anywhere in the city. Why 3-4 months? Supposedly because the process backlog, however, what should also be wrapping up about that time? Ahhh yes, the trial. This place is whacky man.

And then we have the fundraising t-shirt for the police:

What are you driving? Maybe they don't think you can pay the penalty and then the government would have to keep your worthless *** incarcerated for 30 days. That may be an advantage to your being an obnoxious bastard and no one wants to contend with you for any period of time. Would put the uniform on again if I could drive the paddy wagon to transport your ***.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA and SRB will not be seeking re-election. The plot thickens.....

Go with me here for a second keeping my above post in mind. Remember, I've had police friends I know that have outright said the order came down from SRB herself to allow the riot to occur or rather, not be heavily enforced. That was basically the death knell for her. Enter Marilyn Mosby and recall, her husband Nick Mosby is a Ward Boss (Congressman) of the Mondawmin area!!! Now, put all I said previously together. Huge payout to Freddy's family prior to finding if there was any culpability by the police officers. They were paid $6.4 million when previously the highest payout was $200k. That's a $6.2 million dollar difference. Also recall, Billy Murphy, the attorney for the family donated $500k to the election war chest of Marilyn Mosby after the settlement.

My little conspiracy conclusion: Huge payout to help soften the blow that Marilyn Mosby knows will ensue when she loses the case against the cops. Doesn't matter though. All of this has been for show to boost her for the eventual takeover of the Mayor's office now that SRB is not seeking re-election or for Hogan's position when he ends his term. Wait for it and recall this when the election rolls around and MM is the new mayor of Baltimore or challenger as Hogan's replacement for the Governorship. This is some straight Frank and Claire Underwood ****. It wouldn't surprise me if Nick runs for Mayor and she runs for Governor.

Dog, do you garner all this from reading Tea leaves, cards, etc? Or is it that obvious to all those close to the situation? I didn't know what a great mayor Balt had until I heard her on TV telling of all her accomplishments in office. The city was definitely headed to extinction prior to her arrival on the scene. She definitely has to be drafted to remain in office or the city will absolutely fail. Damn, Hillary needs to hire her speech writer.

The settlement(?) was awakening. On this one, the Baltimore politicians make the Mingo and Logan Counties in WV look like summer-time crooks.

Also, Arizona will no longer need my favorite sheriff if the correct President is hired to control the borders. He could do this investigation on his plane ride back East.

Part of it is just understanding politics and the maneuvering that is done on the local level here in Baltimore. It's pretty easy to follow the money trails as they are put out there albeit in disconnected articles in the Sun. My wife and I are also on several things within the city and we get an opportunity to speak with folks from time to time. However, Baltimore is locally referred to as "Smalltimore", its a much bigger city than anything I grew up around WV being from Beckley and the wife being from Wayne but make no mistake, the local politics work exactly the same.

I understand, but damned if I have ever seen anything approaching $6.4 million in one swoop in any So WV County. BTW, where is the SUN on their coverage in news regarding recent Baltimore? Doe editorial page ever write anything to expose the obvious? If not, that would be like living in a communist country. Is control from politics or money or both?

The Sun is basically the equivalent of Pravda. They lean so far left that in personification they would look like one of those people from the V8 commercials prior to them drinking a V8. Control in this city and I am strictly talking the city is all politics controlled by the Ward bosses. Sure, the money always commands power, but actual control of the city is the local level jackasses. You want to see some funny ****, look at the voting districts setup by O'Malley when he was a Gov. How that wasn't seen as gerrymandering I'll never know. Hogan is trying to get it corrected at a state level but there is some serious pushback to and including from the BMore Sun.
