I think UK can move the ball on UL, I just think we have a better chance of winning with Towles in as QB (and no, that doesn't mean that I'm a Towles sunshine pumper or that I think Barker is not the QB of the future - just means that I think Pat gives us a better shot this weekend).

Our OL isn't anything to write home about but it's still better than UL's is. Getting George Asafo-Adjei back healthy at RT will help immensely. Our RB's are definitely more talented I don't think there's any question about that. UL's leading rusher this season is Jackson and he hasn't even played in every game. In games that he has played he only had a handful of carries. Boom had a lot of success against UL last year and I expect the same this year. Beat UL on the ground and avoid turnovers and we'll win this game.

Barker is going to have to make some throws in some high pressure situations but I think he will handle it well. He will be eased into the game early and not asked to do too much until he's settled into the game. We need the OL and our WRs to have one of their better games this year

Don't give a damn which one plays if we don't have 30+ on the board at the end of the game we are going to get beat

too bad the offenses dont play each other. we have to win the turnover battle and have a good day on the ground.

They had a top 10 defense entering last years game and we ran the ball very well against them. I think we'll be able to do the same this year.

The only thing I'm concerned with is will we play as fired up as we did last year? We played with a strong desire to win last year...I expect to see the same this year.

Many of your fellow posters as well as the head coach & OC have been saying that identical statement!!!
Dr. Phil would say, "and what has that gotten you"???

You have got to be smoking crack. Have you not watched any Ky football games this Fall?

I think what he's saying is that Barker probably gives us the best chance to win games down the road (if he improves dramatically) but from what we've seen from him so far there is nothing to indicate that he can win a game against an FBS school not named Charlotte. The few times that he's been in this season have been some of the worst quarterback play I've seen in my lifetime of watching Kentucky football. Hopefully he'll improve down the road, but anyone acting like it's some kind of cut and dry choice as to which QB is better right now is just lying to themselves and have an obvious bias towards one or the other. My opinion is that we should probably go with Barker and let him get his lumps in and get his pick sixes out of the way this year, but I don't expect him to lead us to a win against Louisville unless he just dramatically (and I do mean dramatically) improves from what we've seen from him against Miss State's third stringers, Vandy and the Charlotte 49er's. At this point we're building for next year with Barker. Let him go ahead and play against Louisville and get his int's and pick sixes (which he'll inevitably throw based on what we've seen so far) out of the way and just leave him in there, what choice do we have? We have a really, really small chance of winning with Barker at QB and his terribly erratic play, but at this point it's about the future.

You are awful. LOL

Get his INTs and pick -6s out of the way? Which QB are you talking about, because it sounds like you could be talking about either...but one seems like he could improve with experience and get better each game, the other hasn't shown that...

You do know Towles threw a pick 6 last year vs Vandy, a pick to the 1 yard line vs SC, a pick to the 18 vs Florida, a pick on 1st an goal from the 9 vs Auburn, a pick 6 vs MSU (called back after a late hit on QB, well after the INT), a pick to the 5 yard line vs UT, a pick from the 2 yard line into the EZ vs Vandy....

But yet you are so scared of Barker...worst QB play you have seen in your lifetime...what are you, 4 years old?
