I can’t remember a time I mailed either a letter or package that didn’t get to it’s intended location.

Hahaha. Tell us you aren't a productive person without telling us you aren't a productive person. Anyone who has the unfortunate displeasure of dealing with the USPS knows your mail is as likely to get lost as it is to arrive. Maybe they deliver your once a year Christmas card to wherever, but for anyone that has to send and receive alot; they're w disaster.

Ups, FedEx, and email didn't all come about because the mail was so swift and efficient.

Here’s what I don’t get. How does it affect anyones life if another person gets tested? Why is there such anger at the thought of someone taking a covid text?

As a rule of thumb: if you want a nice career, find a business the govt offers, and compete against it. Guaranteed winner lol.

When you’re sick it’d be nice to know if you tested positive for covid. Only idiots think otherwise. There’s quite literally no argument to the contrary
Hey genius, did everyone make sure to go get tested for the flu and tell you any time they were sick? Did you notify the state and anyone who had the slightest interaction with you before you determined you had a cold?

WTF are they going to do about it after the fact anyways?

No. You stayed home. Life went on as normal. No one freaked out.

You are a clown. You simply react with hysteria because that's what you've been programmed to do. You are a sheep who mistakenly views himself as virtuous instead of an ignorant sheep.

So you wouldn’t want to know what you have huh. Might as well do away with hospitals, like you say you’re sick just stay home and let mother nature do the rest. Might be doing the planet a favor anyways so I say go for it

Much better than driving to a testing site if you are feeling bad.

No offense, but you could also just stay home when you feel bad. I'm 41 and have done that since I was a kid.

I guess the point is if you are sick, you're sick...what difference does it make? When I have a cold I try and steer clear of family members, friends, strangers, etc. Make sense?

Why? Seriously. What difference does it make if you are staying away from other people?

So you can get on Facebook and say you are a recovering COVID patient?

Practice common sense and steer clear of others.

Also, to be clear I'm no anti-vaxxer or something. I just don't see the point.

It’d be nice to know and be informed about your own body simple as that. In a perfect world, we’d have tests for everything that way we know when and what to consult a doctor for the next best steps.

In your world, which we thankfully left about 500 years ago, everyone just stayed in. If you’re sick, you’re sick, with God knows what. I’ll take any test happily to be better informed and to medicate/treat appropriately, whatever it is. It doesn’t matter if it’s covid. I’m saying I don’t care, I’d like to know what I’m infected with.

My body my choice. There’s a cave about 10 miles from here that folk like you can move into and grunt stories together about how you fought off whatever you had by eating rocks. I’ll be sure never to visit.

You sound like a hypochondriac.

I don't need to move to a cave, I can sit in my house and get better. You know what they are telling people to take with Omicron now? OTC medicine. What do you take when you get a common cold?

If your wish is to sit in line for 3-4 hours to have a cutip shoved up your nose when you get the sniffles, you are right, your body, your choice. Have at it friend. Me, I will just get vaccinated and if I catch something and am not deathly ill...just move forward, you know...so I don't overwhelm the healthcare system.

There shouldn't be anger Ed. It also should not irritate others if some don't get tested and just isolate at home with a cold (post vaccine).

The healthcare system is being overrun by people who refused to get vaccinated and/or go into full panic mode when they get the slightest bit ill.

I think the anger if there is any is the timing of this (1) (it is a bit late- waited for the weakest or variants) and the cost associated with it (2) when most people who catch Omnicron are not knocking on deaths door.

So the question becomes, why?

I am retired and pretty much self isolated. My wife brought home something from work and it hit her Friday night. It hit me Saturday night. Not severe. Sore throat, sniffles, body aches. Pre COVID this would not have stopped me from going to work, but since COVID you must be concerned with spreading to others. This is where I see the test coming in handy. It will help

Some jobs have that flexibility. My job required my presence. I worked many days during my career when I would have preferred to stay in bed. Goes with the job.

If I were still working and tested negative for COVID, I would go to work.

If I were still working and tested positive for COVID, I would not go to work.

Lol what an epic failure by this admin...I know some have to defend out of duty, but this is a failure all the way regardless who it is.

So you get a test....in 12 days? Lol you mean after your symptoms are completely gone? And if you have have no symptoms why would you order one? Just more nonsense that the quadruple vaxxed triple mask, scared of the grocery store will want to hoard bc of their paranoia causing shortage to local stores.

as a small/disadvantaged business if you can

we have to award something like 20% of our prime contract level award to such entities

and try to avoid the USG pockets that are very ....filled with “government minded workers “

No man, we should just close hospitals and shut down medicine because we don't believe sending a single use test after a surge will help.

If it is not Covid, it could still be something that would harm another more seriously than it is hitting you. We still remember the flu killing people, right? So, regardless of the illness, stay home and avoid getting others sick.

Not everyone and not every position has that flexibility. Be thankful that you have that luxury.

As Omicron numbers seem to be dropping in the U.S., anyone get their taxpayer funded tests?

So do you make sure to get your testosterone levels checked? Yearly CMP, CBC, etc? You get the sniffles and you go get tested for possible allergies? Your foot hurts for half a week you get an X-ray? Etc. why. Be an adult and figure it out.

Mankind made it thousands of years without being gigantic pussies, don’t join the crowd and screw this up.

I saw a preview for a documentary today on Netflix that said something like this is a documentary about the heroes that fought against one of the deadliest affronts on mankind in history 😂😂😂….yeah okay, it was definitely going to wipe us all out if we didn’t stay home and get 42 boosters. Grow up.
