Laurent may need to spend time guarding 4s.

Means more Goode, Grier, and Daniels minutes.

This isn't the worse thing in the world for the program in the long term.

Not the worst thing for the program in the long-term, but very bad for the next 2 weeks or more. The only worse thing would have been Sanders missing 2 weeks. So, the 2nd worst thing, not the very worst thing.

Remember, RU is already down 1 front court player, in Doorson. With Freeman out, RU is down to just 9 scholarship players, by my count. And only 3 of those are Centers or Power Forwards.

This will force RU into more 3-guard offense, and more zone. It will also remove one of RU's most effective offensive players from the line-up, from a team that is already offensively challenged.

5-6 OOC vs. 7-5 is the difference between stone cold lock for single digit win season vs. a chance for a double digit win season. That may not seem like a big deal but a single digit win season (especially in a coach's 3rd season) is a really, really bad look for any program. Holy crap, reaching new depths every year.

Sore knee? I saw a full brace under his warm-ups today and he looked like he was walking with a peg leg. Completely immobilized.

Freeman did not have much mobility today while causally walking and was noticeably walking with a limp.
