A friend of mine has a playoff game between two Illinois teams, and he asked me and another guy to come watch his crew. So I'll be there tonight.

I was really hoping for a Friday night game. No raking leaves for at least another week.
We almost always start on Friday,
Since they cut down all the ash trees a lot less leaves to get rid of..
Lucky. My ash is just slowly dying and still shedding leaves. Starting to get a Kervorkian itch of the arborist sort.
99% of the trees in the parkways of my subdivision were ash trees. The township cut these 40+ years old trees down and replaced them with trees around 5 years old, What a difference in leaves falling down this time of year.
For the 2nd year in a row it will be the Naperville Riverwalk for me. Let us not forget how blistering cold it was just a year ago for rd 1.

In the parking lot. Every time Ive gone there and not parked in the lot, while walking from miles away I have found parking in the lot when I got there although it looks full. I mean, your mere minutes away, just get there early and go to The Lantern.
If not the neighborhoods surrounding the school, or worst comes to worst the parking garage.
Ahhhh, the Lantern. I like you more and more all the time, Bones. Before Naperville was overrun, the Lantern was a great place for a Friday beer.
Obviously I'll be at Hinsdale South @ Thornton. But, if I could choose another game to go to it would be:
Notre Dame vs Marist since I'm a former ESCC guy myself (Shamrock pride).
Anyone every been to a game at Thornton before? What's it like? Atmosphere? Parking? I'm not from the suburbs, grew up in the city so I'm familiar with Harvey. Is Antwaan Randle El, Melvin Eli and Napolean Harris going to be there?

It's not a lot different than most other high schools. There is parking kind of between the school and the field. The stands aren't spacious but they are adequate. I would make sure to have taken a look at some directions (like Mapquest or Google maps) to get some sense of where you are going rather than just thinking you'll plug it into the old GPS. It's not hard to get to, but it's also not like you pull off the expressway and you're there.
