Democratic Senator Joe Manchin’s approval ratings are in a total free fall in the state of West Virginia according to new polling; raising serious questions over the “blue wave” predicted by the mainstream media during the 2018 midterms.

The survey finds that Manchin’s approval plummeted to 43% during the first quarter of 2018, a stunning 17 point drop from just a few months ago.

The centrist-Democrat is struggling to maintain his seat in staunchly conservative West Virginia; voting to nominate President Trump’s pro-coal pick to head the Environmental Protection Agency.

According to Fox News, Manchin voted alongside President Trump a whopping 60% of the time last year, but notably bucked the President on tax reform and the repeal of Obamacare.

“By 2012, the die was cast. The only Democrats who could survive were ones like Manchin,” a senior analyst told Fox News.

“If he loses, it would cement the idea that Democrats could not elect anyone statewide,” she added. “The presidential performance has a lot to do with how a party performs in a state. He’s still a blue dog in a Senate where it’s hard to be in the middle. But, when push comes to shove, he usually votes with Senate Democrats.”

How many in the State will really shed a year if Joe M. is not re-elected?
