"Louisville on the verge of adding 2 commitments for 2020?"

Why in the world should anyone care about that? Three YEARS from now? Even many commits that pledge to sign this February will flip schools and change their minds. Many will flip schools several times just between now and signing day. Why would be care someone commits for three years from now. That's insane. Commits mean nothing. It only matters when they sign. I find it laughable that this is a headline (as if we should be excited someone gives one of these meaningless verbals to sign three years from today) and is promoting this.

Yeah, some football freshman will commit to Louisville three years out. Woohoo! Excuse me if I ignore it and disregard it.

It shouldn't mean anything if you take this stuff as life and death, if it frustrates the hell outta you when a kid decommits.

If it's just of casual interest and entertainment, it's fine reading about this stuff. And I encourage the reporters to keep reporting it.

And two parting thoughts...
  • I'd rather have commits than NOT have commits.
  • Think of it as a dinner reservation that you might end of canceling, and it makes more sense.
