It was shut down because of too much hatred going on in there and I didn't feel like it was appropriate to have it on the high school sports website anymore.

I liked the front porch but you are right about it not needing to be here. It drawed alot of ppl though.

Due respect I think you were wrong on your statement of "hatred going on". What you had was a group of vocal passionate men who enjoyed going back and forth at each other. There was no hatred, in fact there is no doubt in my mind that if one of these guys needed anything that the others would be of whatever assistance they could be. I looked forward to the back and forth and had absolutely no problem being called a moron or an idiot, in fact rather enjoyed it, and never personal. Something men do with each other in discussing sports, religion and politics. As a man who raised 3 daughters, it's something women just don't understand. Basic difference between men and women. It's what men do in discussing sports, religion and politics. You had a right to shut it down and you did, disappointing as the next couple of months would have been very entertaining.

You didn't get the emails I got either from people involved. I also went to Rivals about them and they advised me what to do.

Hated to see it go, although I rarely commented, I enjoyed reading. I found it quite educational actually, and would be fine with my 15 yr old son reading it. In fact I would much rather him read the Front Porch than waste time on Snapchat or Instagram. The media is so biased now, especially your major news channels....What used to be considered a reliable source of information, has now become information twisted to the view of liberals or conservatives depending on the channel you're watching. Now if you read the Front Porch, you still had the differing sides, but they were able to debate each other and whether they would admit it or not, they have had their eyes opened at least once by "the other side".
I know this is a pointless rant about something that doesn't exist anymore, but there were also subjects on there that I had little to no idea about until my interest was jogged on here and it made me go research that topic myself.

What really gets me is there are posters on here that through their antics have been much more detrimental to this site than the Porch, but they're still here doing the same ridiculous stuff day in and day out. Go figure. One guy I think of in particular has ran away more posters on the 4A Football Forum than the Front Porch has.....I guarantee you that!

With no disrespect Deana but…..”hatred”….I beg to differ…..Us guys that frequented and really enjoyed the “Front Porch” resent you labeling us as having such an awful trait…..If not mistaken the regular crowd consisted of an attorney, a pastor (who is pursuing a law degree) a couple of educators (such as myself), a retired NC Highway Patrolman, and other professionals.

The “Front Porch” aka “Smack Shop” was a venue that we could check into and voice our opinions on a variety of subjects ranging from politics to religion (yea allot of “hatred” on that subject as you have labeled it)….Although it may have seemed we were at each other’s throats, as 3D stated as a women you may have taken our comments wrong)….Friendships were actually made through that message board. I for one had many disagreements with 3D, but offline actually sought legal advice from him.

Sure I acknowledge this is a high school website, but look at your clientele. I’m sure you will find that the majority of posters are adults. We kept it clean because of high school students could read our post, well that, but most of all because we are all gentlemen.

Now I respect your decision on how you run your business, question it yes, but respect it yes. I will continue to check into the 2A football boards to get scores for the next 4 months, but after Dec 8th I’ll see you again around this time next year. Will be nothing of interest to see here.
