Once again I had to go to the opposing team's website to find out the pitching rotation for this weekend's series against the Seminoles.

It will be Eberle tonight and TBA for Saturday and Sunday....

Go Cards! Really need to win 2, but definitely 1. Hell, let's get a sweep.

This is a recent issue. Not sure what is going on. I have listened to our opponent's radio coverage in the past and on several occasions, I have heard the announcers compliment UL's baseball game day notes and media guide. Previously, I have heard the same compliments by the ACCNX crew.

Staff day the whole weekend? I guess that's why the lineup Tuesday night was what it was.🙁

Will the lineup get tweaked tonight to get the offense going? I gotta believe Mac will make some changes with the order. Alicea back at the top? Pike back where he was producing more around 6-7, King up and Davis down around 7-8.
The offense has to catch a spark somehow to get the doldrums out. Just show that grit we had a month ago. Davis and Pike are the keys imo.

Let's go Cards!!

I vote for athletic department downsizing. Guess we can’t pay the baseball team some of their NIL $$ to update the game notes for us…😂

It just feels like (again) the staff is reaching and doesn’t have a grasp on what works for this team. We already know the pitching staff is in shambles. So, now, we see churning in the batting lineup. What was so wrong with the offense? It, again, feels like desperation to me.

Never knew ore-game management could be as bad as in-game management. Geez. This is ridiculous.

They did. FSU that is. They are hitting everything hard. Two strike counts - something is wrong and it can’t just be the pitchers missing their spots. Each hit this inning has been with a 2 strike count.

Great play at the plate after another 2 strike rip into the left field corner.

Bad guys 4 Cards 0 - 1st inning... I think Pike has already left the game due to an injury.

Yes. He got twisted up on the missile to right field that wound up being an in-the-park HR. He gone. Then the Cards’ offense immediately responds by going 3-up and 3-down.

Not sure what's going on with our hitters. They're starting to get in that rut, looking at strikes and swinging at anything and everything with 2 strikes.

Lippe has looked Terrible. Eberle has really settled in and is pitching well. Surprised the staff didn’t pull him out LOL. Unfortunately, the offense has s pretty much no -existent.

Unfortunately, injuries have gotten them and it was an extremely thin team talent wise.

Another 10 runs against the better ACC teams. They will probably give up over 30 runs on the weekend. It will be hard to get a win.

Second season on a row where the team is nose diving in the last third of the season. I hope they suddenly get hot and make a run. But, I’d be totally shocked. I’d be remiss to not once again state…No other pitching coach could have so little success over a four year stretch and still be in their position. The staff is bad (overall) - this means recruiting and development- that is 100% on Williams.

The reality the recruitment of high end HS pitchers has tanked the last 4 years. They haven’t tried to build depth with transfers. That is a philosophy. I don’t care how good a coach you are if you don’t have legit arms you are screwed. Baseball requires legit pitchers. The ACC requires legit pitchers.

The question is why did a strength turn into a weakness? What is more likely Williams can’t evaluate/develop or they can’t land the higher end guys? To me this is a recruiting problem. I also think hitting has passed college pitching.

Guess it's time to start talking about next season.
I had such high hopes for this team. Knowing Mac the way we do,he won't give up until it's over. My hopes were that the guys taking the field would all excel at what they do. Without the best version of Forbes, Detmers and what I thought might be Hartman or Cutts, this could very well be about next season(considering the guys that can stay, do stay).

Tbs,the offense is really struggling right now and not surprisingly against 2 of the better staffs of the year to date. Watching pitches that are strikes, chasing pitches that start out of the zone and not battling with 2 strikes. Adhering to the scouting reports instead of learning from them.

We're not dead yet,but for this team to have a chance of getting itself in the field of 64 this season, it falls on the offense to get back to getting on base.

Keeping Schweitzer, Eberle, Alicea, Davis, Moore, and Klein is necessary. We cannot lose any of those guys to the portal. I guess you could add Detmers and Forbes as well and hope they show up next season. By that I mean meet their expectations.

Mac is great coach and beloved by players; this decline we are seeing is all about NIL and the Portal. It is no coincidence that CJW and CDM are being deprived of the money that MFB and MBB are able to acquire and keep experienced proven talent.

I understand how difficult it is to build and sustain a program based on freshman, when the Big Boys are relying on NIL to both attract and keep talented kids.

I have adjusted my expectations to much lower level going forward.

Same ole, same ole. Walk the first batter, base hit and FSU leads. Oh, add in a wild pitch that put the guy who walked into scoring position.

You make this garbage up. Moore at third and one out. Rose hits a hard ground ball to third…what does Moore do. Takes off for home and is promptly gunned down. Why? There was zero reason to take off. Just poor execution from Snider and Moore.

Guess it was a matter of time. Peter loses control and gets two runners on base. Ground ball down the 3d base line and 2 score for FSU. Sort of looked like Munroe should have made the play on the grounder, but…
West in to pitch for UofL. Game may be over now b/c the Cards don’t seem to be able to make consecutive plays against their pitcher.

Really good job by the staff. I really like the Trinty Freshman that closed it out. Good movement and good location. Worked ahead in most counts. Good pop at 92-94.

Pretty sure all 3 are injured but I don't know the injury of Tyson or the extent of those 2 pitchers' injuries.
