Bama should win the next two against La Monroe and Wiscy then they get Georgia in Athens. If the Bulldogs take the Tide to the woodshed, the pressure on DeBoer is going to be relentless.
Bama could lose 5-6 games this year.
Should DeBoer go 8-4 in year 1 and 7-5 or 8-4 in year two, it's likely he's gone. Those type seasons result in fewer blue chippers wanting to go there and at Bama, given where they are accustomed to being, they can't afford to slip further behind the Georgia, Ohio State, Oregon and Penn States of the world.

I heard this tidbit on sports radio. Saban was 126-4 against unranked teams at Alabama. Deboer is now 6-4. Not only that, 3 of the 4 Saban’s losses were in his first year at Alabama in 2007. From 2008-2023, Saban lost one game to an unranked team.

Overall, even with a bad year, DeBoer much more successful than Frost or Fickell.

Deboer had success at P4 ( Washington) for a couple years. Before Wisconsin Fickle was 6-6 at P4 ( ohio state) and frost coached 0 ( zero games at p4) before Nebraska. Better check the facts before you post.

Deboer had the best QB in the Pac 12 at Washington and brought him with him as he had coached him before. at Ind and again=Pac 12 which only an idiot would believe is the same level as Bama and SEC 2 years at Fresno State prior with moderate success-This is year 6 and one of those was a shortened covid year-Like Frost and Fickel and many others that have taken that path he is underachieving badly at the major league level.
