Derwin James, one of the 'Noles top defenders is out with an ACL tear he sustained against Chalreston Southern.

I don't think he tore his ACL. It's damaged cartilage. Regardless, he's out for Saturday's game. His return is probable later in the season. Good for him and the Noles.

You are correct ... no structural damage at all; likely out 2-6 weeks depending on recovery. The good news for FSU is that we have excellent depth in the secondary. James loss will hurt, but it is not a game-changer for the outcome.

Fortunately we get back our Sr S Andrews who led the 13 And 14 team in picks. We also get back our two missing OL. James was our best defender tho.
