One of the biggest surprises to me this season is the massive improvement in free throw shooting. NU is currently 30th in the nation at 75.7%. Last year they were 293rd, hitting just 2/3 of their throws. Everyone looks much more confident at the line. Tap even hit his last night and he is one of the worst FT shooters at just 57% on the season!

Be careful drawing conclusions with too small a sample size for them to be statistically meaningful. Tap was indeed a 57% going into the game--because he was 4-7 on the season. Magically, he is now suddenly a 73% free throw shooter on the season.

My bad about Tap. I had it in my mind how weird it is to see him miss a FT given how pure his 3 point stroke is, and when I checked the stats it confirmed my preconceived bias. I should have looked at how many attempts he had and didn't. -1 for fitzphile.
