One thing, if you didn't see it, Charlie Koch did the following sit-down yesterday on CBS Sunday Morning; something, as far as I can tell, he essentially never does (and in words, was virtually totally opposite of the manner in which he acts and spends his money). In fact, I'm certain that was the first interview I myself have ever seen him do (though, perhaps he talks to Fox News once in awhile).

Anyway, might this CBS interview be part of the author's claim of the Koch's "PR initiative to improve their public image" ??

They've allowed themselves to be painted extreme right wing Republicans, much how the Tea Party allowed itself to become an arm of religious conservatives.

Locally for me, they are funding opposition to a sales tax (0.62%) to repair streets and roads in the city. The Koch brothers aren't local to the area, so I'm not sure what exactly their opposition is about.
