I think they ought to change the rules on "fumbles" to rule out "stripping" the ball from ball carriers. It is one thing if a player actually fumbles the ball because he mishandles it, or because someone gets a hat on it in the course of a tackle or even it gets slapped out, but quite another to allow tug-of-wars for the ball while a player is being held up by other defenders. The rules people should look at that.
