It's not age. It's sense of humor. The clip posted earlier with the Einstein guy, That's not funny at all. Let me guess, you think that Christmas vacation is hilarious.

By the way, Ricky Gervais is quite a bit younger than Larry David, as am I. Ricky Gervais created a show that will be considered greater than Seinfeld and curb . As far as I'm concerned, the Office crushes Seinfeld.
I love The Office and Seinfeld both but one of my favorite TV episodes ever was the 2 episodes called Stress Relief from The Office. I have watched it I couldn't tell you how many times and it still makes me laugh whenever I watch it.

Definitely off topic, but I never really got the love for The Office that most people I know have. I mean I probably watched every episode while it aired, but I haven't went back and rewatched over 2 or 3 total episodes, I'd guess. It just never stuck with me, for some reason.

I have done multiple rewatches on Curb, Veep, Arrested Development, and Park & Rec, which I consider contemporaries to The Office. It's just weird how tastes differ on things like that.

I agree how tastes differ. I could never get into any of the shows you just mentioned but love Curb and The Office. My kids watch reruns of The Office and love it....have a ways to go before they can watch Curb, haha.

I'll rewatch Seinfeld from season 3 through the finale.

I'll rewatch The Office from the end of season 2 through season 6.

Both series early seasons are a tough watch for me. The Office Superfan episodes on Peacock are awesome. They are ~10 minutes longer per episode. I don't think I've been disappointed with anyone of them. Dinner Party has alot more Jan backstory.

Lol, this is comedic genius now. So you want to compare what I want to think is funny to you want to think is funny. Yeah, I think Chevy Chase is funny. Sorry if that doesn't meet your standards...
I never said Chevy Chase wasn't somewhat amusing. I don't like the movie Christmas Vacation. It's written for someone with an IQ of 85. And since I top out at 84.

Writing on this show was outstanding. These people all went on to have great careers.

Sorry to keep flooding the thread but there are great American comedies, great British comedies, great Canadian comedies, that French (it's actually French Canadian) show that's like candid camera is hilarious, where are the Australians? Mostly in Australia I agree, but where are their great comedies?

Health Care, Diversity Day, Hot Girl.

The alliance is the only oneI don't think is a classic.
I didn't say I hate em. They started to soften the Michael Scott character after Forty Year old Virgin. He was more likable towards the end of season two. He became a blend of the two characters.

It's similar to when Jason Alexander tweaked his character to mimic Larry David. The shows became better with those little tweaks.

I think the softening of Michael Scott somewhat came from Ricky Gervais telling them that he does not need to be totally incompetent. Greg Daniels would have had to say though.

"The sea was angry that day my friends...like an old man trying to send back soup at a deli"

Not saying George is my favorite character or that is my favorite episode...I can't pick...but that is one of the most memorable lines for me ever.

George’s monologue at the end of the Marine Biologist is my favorite Seinfeld moment.

Followed by the scene with Kramer telling the story of how he drove the city bus to save the severed pinky toe.

Kevin and Kelly's characters changed more than anyone. The first season Kelly was a conservative Hindu lady and by the end she was well lets just say she was far from conservative. Kevin was also quiet, reserved and seemed intelligent but by the end he was the office goofball.

Interestingly and not actually girlfriend but George with Marissa Tomei and Chelsea Noble are the two hottest in my opinion.

Just read where Jerry is still getting up to 110 million a year in residuals from reruns whereas the cast from Brady Bunch gets nothing because of an airtight “no residuals” clause in their contracts.

I’ve been watching Seinfeld reruns regularly for 20 years and have seen the Brady brunch on maybe 5 times in Nick at Night
