What about robots in the law enforcement field? How would that take off? I've seen the Will Smith movie about it, but have to imagine that's not likely. I think even if it were, we would still need human detectives to solve murders and things of that nature.

South Korea already has robotic prison guards that have been programmed to recognize suicide attempts, fights and other human behaviors. They make security rounds by way of GPS points along the halls and alert staff in a control room by way of audio/visual cameras. Not sure If true but I heard they had alarm sirens and could administer pepper spray in the case of emergencies. They look like a big R2D2.

I work on the railroad in transportation. They're installing something called positive train control on all the locomotives. It's a scary situation at work that no one ever talks about.

They just shut them down. They are not paying them anyway or the person who got laid off in favor of the robot. Laying on the beach as CatDaddy said meant being dead. I don't know where he thinks he is going to get his money from. Robots cut jobs in favor on not having to pay you. Liberals, they just don't get it. That endless pot of money does not exist.
What the hell are you blabbering about? Please start taking your meds again.

In the not too distant future upwards of near 50% of current jobs could be automated. How does this affect everything? Revolution? Lounging on the beach while your robot works for you? It's a scary topic with no real solution as of yet. This is far into the future, but not that far either. Kinda scary but inevitable.

I'm not convinced that 90% of American jobs can't be done by a machine already. When you can golf every Friday and Monday and you're on Broadway by 4:15 everyday, it kinda tells me that your job is meaningless. Yet these people drive lexus'.

Robots can already do that? It's only a matter of time before they are adapted to replace me then.
