Praire Ridge - expected to be a state title contender in 6a
Cary-Grove- expected to be a title contender as well in 6a/7a
Huntley- looks very good as well
And expect Jacobs to be good also.

Yeah and CLC also has some big kids upfront and never count out South. I have a strong feeling I'll wind up watching FVC Week 1

I may have missed this, but why did the two Grayslake and Woodstock schools leave the FVC? Didn't realize that even happened until I looked at this year's conference makeup on the IHSA website.

The small schools of the NSC (minus Vernon Hills) extended an invite to the Grayslakes. Vernon Hills essentially swapped with Waukegan into CSL (W to the NSL, Niles North to backfill CSL South, VH to CSL North)

Woodstock North and Woodstock just don't have the numbers to compete in the FVC anymore! The biggest enrollment between the two schools was the year that North opened and has been slowly declining since! They will be traveling about the same distances but more west and north than east and south.

I am really excited to see how things can play out for the FVC! I think PR has a real good shot at the conference title along with always good CG! I am really interested to see how Huntley does with their first year without Coach Harte, still have some big time talent with oladipo. I really like Katernick he has a good looking ball, but with the departure of a great receiving corps will be interesting if there will be any change in how well that offense is. The biggest interest I have is who will be that last team to get a playoff spot, between South, Central, and Hampshire. Central has some talent and, even though I may be biased, I think some of the greatest coaches you can find. Those teams are gonna have to fight and scratch for every win they can get to make the playoffs. That being said I think there could be one big upset by one of these bubble playoff teams on the top 3 schools in the conference, and those games where these bubble teams play each other are going to be a lot of fun to watch the fight between these teams. Very tough and not very lopsided conference this year. Should be a fun regular season seeing the battle between the top schools for the conference champ and then battle by the 3 bubble schools

I think I see PR being my pick for conference champ, but I dont see a state championship happening this year. CG will be great as always, but I just don't see the FVC winning 6a this year and then even if they get moved up, 7a is the toughest divsion and its gonna be tough but never say never for both of these teams. Jacobs will make the playoffs, similar result as recent years. Huntley is really interesting to me even without Hart looking forward to see them and Im hoping they can make a run in 8a. Lastly I pick Central to squeeze into the playoffs with an upset of one of the top teams, maybe Jacobs or if they can get the offense going against one of the triple option teams.

Hammer, I am not biased about Central having some of the greatest coaches, its a fact they have some of the greatest coaches in the state. Its like everything, you don't realize how good you have it until you lose what you have! I knew MCC had good coaches, but until last year I hadn't realized how Great the old coaching staff was! You also know I have all the reasons to be very biased! One heart beat brother!:)
