seems like Praire Ridge and Cary Grove are just about even. Pr has a lot of returning starters and with Samson Evan under center that looks like a lock for a deep playoff run and CG has a big expiernced O line really challenged PR week 1
Huntley has several returning starters as well as QB mooney
Jacobs returned half it starters from last years quarterfinal team

Also don't count out McHenry as well

CG/PR is such a rivalry, that I expect what we saw this past week. Can some of the more wide open offenses do the unthinkable. I would not be shocked if so. PR can do shootout, can CG?

Gonna be tons of fun

Was anyone able to see what Cary Grove or PR have coming up from their lower levels? I read that PR was starting 3 Sophs on Defense and a Frosh and Soph on offense. How do you replace Samson? CG had a hell of a fullback playing behind a huge O line. Was a JV and or Freshmen game played? Any results?

PR won the frosh/soph game by atleast 14. We got a TD at the end to make it appear closing than it really was. I think it was Samson's younger brother making every tackle against us in the frosh/soph game, kid is a beast. They also had a running back with some real speed. But, we did have our top freshman (Mistak, Gagiliano, ect) playing up on JV.

PR also won the JV game. They won big. To be honest, I was shocked, that was the one game I expected us to win for sure. I blame the loss from Friday night for our kids coming out flat.

While PR may have won the Varsity game, we beat the on the field and they do not want to play us again.

Sounds like a very compelling conference this year. McHenry? They haven't been good in ages have they? IIRC some year ago every time they qualified for the playoffs they had to play MC. Of course that was before quads, the good old days.

Actually McHenry was pretty good last year and should be again this year. I still think we will dust them by over 30, but they will be playing post season football.

Also, kudos to their kids club. Heard they are running the HS system now on both sides of the ball. Following in the footsteps of what has made us great for years and made PR into the power they have become.

Also plays into why I feel fellow D155 teams South and Central struggle since their feeder "team" are more hell bent on recruiting kids from other programs and running different O and D then those schools.
