Gable and stalling?

This legendary statue depicts Gable famously calling stalling on his own wrestler. Gable still attends most Iowa home duals, so I was wondering: has Mr. Gable been lobbying for stalling calls against Iowa wrestlers this season?

Who are you trying to troll? Cause almost everyone agrees Iowa wrestling is boring currently.

That may be the case but I see Gable on TV and I was wondering if he's actively calling for stalling during matches or just sitting there quietly. I mean the GOAT telling you your team is stalling is bound to have a major impact on the way the program is viewed.

Statue is definitely in the stalling call pose. Gable did try to get a stalling call on his own guy. Are we sure the statue is commemorating that exact episode? Or is OP trying to reinterpret to suit his own little snarky question?

If Gable still had his thumb on the program like he did in the Jimmy era I wonder when Tom would have been canned.

Just curious on why he would call stalling on his own wrestler? I always thought he was saying 2 for 2 point takedown. But I've been wrong before.
