Govt cracking down on illegal gambol because of reports of 149B being bet with overseas accounts or local bookies vs. 4.3B being bet with legal Vegas books.

What sparked this problem? Daily Fantasy Football.

I knew that **** would cause problems and Vegas will not let this go because they aren't being protected.

So all you online gambol heads out there better make sure you keep up with it or your money will get caught in the political crossfires.

Im of the belief gambling on sports will be legalized within the next decade. Europe, Australia and other markets have Bettingn Kiosks in their sporting venues.

There is too much money going in the wrong pockets. Our Government knows this. U.S. citizens have to vote for legalization, this is the roadblock. As millennials get older and become the majority voting population, a lot will change.

Lots of parallels between Recreational Marijuana and Sports gambling.

:joy:

Learn the US govt.......I mean hell here locally we send money from KY to Missouri down around Paducah, IN here in Louisville, and OH(I think that's where belterra is) in NKY just so we can save the damn horse tracks!

Vegas has enough power to fight the system that they are getting screwed by right now, but unless they are getting a cut of new opened business it won't happen.

Old money and that sort of thing.

I heard about some crack down recently and know a few guys that seemed a bit concerned but once that was posted on ESPN it is fair warning changes are coming.

Just wanted to give our local gambol folks a heads up.

Legalized sports gambling is inevitable.. tax the vig from sports, doesn't have to be much..

casinos make more, government makes more. It's not difficult.

Factoring horses into the equation doesn't make any sense. There's such a small segment of the population who care about horse racing. We're just from one of the states that do.
Unquantifiably Sports gambling is more lucrative it isn't close.

Vegas is only an example of how a States tax income can be increased through sports gambling.

How do you think Vegas is able to build new arenas with public consent? Public doesn't pay for it.
In the new football stadiums case, private investment cover half, Casino properties cover the rest.

I live in Denver.
A lot like Marijuana (tax dollars go to public schools). there's too much money involved not to regulate and tax it.

Not touching with UK either way. Hate it. Have not looked, what is the total ?? If its upper 40's or so, I like the over.

Never mind, 53.5.

Took under 89.5 Oregon / Cal. I know points will come in bunches, but 89.5 is the highest total I have ever noticed. Have to take a chance on the under. A couple red zone to's or missed chances, 5/6 minute drought, it covers.

That is 6 td's and a fg per team.

All ready locked in for tomorrow :

Syracuse / BC under 50.5
Utah +7 @ UCLA. May even take a stab at the ML +265

Games I like but had pulled the trigger yet :

WVU -6 v/s v/s TCU (is WVU for real ?)
Navy +2 v/s Memphis (beat Houston)
Old Dominion +14 @ WKU.
Ole Miss +7.5 @ LSU.
Arkansas +10.5 @ Auburn.
Texas A&M +18 @ Bama.

Still studying :
Colorado +2 @ Stanford
Washington -35.5 v/s Oregon State.

^ yeah, I'm on that under too. I know those West Coast games go bonkers, but I'll take my chances with an Under 90 just about every single time.

Plus, Oregon is awful.

-Put 2* on Cal/Ore under 89.5

-Added USF/Temple U31 2H.

Oh, and BtB said the O/U there was the highest in history...so yeah, I'll take my chances on that one, if I lose I can handle that.

Edit: Looks like Tech/Baylor got to 90.5 last year, but closed at 88? Either way, it's right there with the highest totals ever.

That Cal game has flipped 6 points throughout the day. But looks like 67% of the bets are on Cal. Must be a lot of smart money coming in on ORE from just a couple of sharps.

All 3 SL dudes picked Oregon. Always makes me nervous when 65%+ of the pubic is on a side.

...total is up to 90, so money still coming in on Over, Lol. Sure I'll wake up to a loss.

The BC-Syracuse line is a GD cluster****.

No earthly reason why BC should be favored, which means they win and cover.

Buffs are undefeated ATS.. I've lost quite a bit betting against them, but through that I've come to the realization they are a good football team.
However UCLA has lost 5 games. 3 of which by a TD, one by 3, and the other by 9.
UCLA +12.5 and O 58 in same game

Related, but not related, who is everyone betting on in the Breeder's Cup Races?/thread. Is Chrome worth singling in a Pick 4 or Pick 3? Going with Da Big Hoss for the BC Turf as a longshot although Found may win it again.
