National Championship Game

There is a "reverse line move" on Alabama. Line opened at Bama -6 and 65% of the money went to Clemson, but instead of moving the line back towards Bama they bumped it to 6.5 indicating the early "sharp" money is heavy on Bama.

I'm loading up on the Tide.

I just think clemson isn't intimidated by BAMA and will score just enough to win or lose by a FG. Also think losing your OC in championship week is not good!

Leaning Clemson as well. They gave Bama all they wanted last time, and did not have their stud wr's for the game. Also, at some point, I think the freshman QB will make just enough mistakes to cost Bama.

Clemson +6.5
Small play on Clemson ML.

Maybe a play on the total 51.

Nice little 3-0 last night, and got to enjoy a great game. Nervous as touch. Total sitting at 45 (24-21) with 8 minutes to go, just knew Bama would D up and run out the clock. Whew, was really praying against ot, it was the only way I could have lost the +6 and ML.

Anyone going in for BeatinTheBookie's Super Bowl package? Thinks its like $80-90, so as long as they're up like 2 Units(for the smallest bettor) it's a win. They SEEM to do well with NFL but I haven't used them for anything but college bball.

@B.B.d.K. I don't know how you do this ****. I've got the twitches wanting to place money on every crappy conference tournament game. Murray +135 ML against Morehead? Gotta have it! Etc.

Need to pace myself. This is a long month.

That's part of the fun, what are you worried about? Pick a unit you're comfortable with, and get busy handicapping.

Smart Gambol would be to pick your 2 or 3 favorite games, of course -- but that's impossible in March for me. Highly discourage just picking games blindly though...dig a little deeper into the numbers, stats, trends, etc.

That's fair - I've always played smart Gambol and that's what worries me, but it's not like I'm betting my house I suppose.

You use bovada right? What's up with it right now, I'm not showing any game lines for college basketball - only futures for the title.

I use one of those local hybrids (Wcat).

College Hoops odds are same day on most books until tourney time.

Only missed Marquette. Nice run.

I've been playing my action mostly - bizarrely - on European soccer O/Us.

Tonight I think I like Ole Miss -7 and Notre Dame +3.

Thoughts on UGA +10 tomorrow? I usually don't bet UK, but that's a seemingly huge line to me.

Tough game. We're fresh and virtually playing at home vs a team that's played us very close and does one thing well (high PNR) that we don't defend.

So I'd stay away, personally.

As a rule I always try to bet the lower seeds that are favs in the NCAA's, and the lower seeds that are barely and underdog.

Wichita, Xavier, Vandy and oddly enough Rhode Island fit the bill.

This year I'm backing off as I think Dayton covers even if they lose, I like vandy but honestly the SEC sucks in this thing, never liked Xavier this year, and I do like RI but feel they are becoming the trendy pick that ends up losing.

The biggest 5/12 spread is UVA v UNCW.......I like UNCW.

Also MTSU over Minnesota(-1) is the underdog bet there.

Love UCLA-17

Nothing else pops out at all round 1

That Virginia game under is free money

Except for the fact it went over EASILY, with over 3 minutes to go in a tight game...(and ended up 14 points over)

Don't jinx yourself, this tournament is hard enough to gambol on it's own.

This tournament, especially day 1/2, you basically think anything and bet the opposite and do good.

My book is quicker to respond to heavy betting sometimes, not sure that's a big problem as I think MTSU is going to win easy.

1/1 on UNCW, I got Vandy and Xavier today too.

Thanks for shitting on my bet. Please do not do that, you can your own bets, but do not jinx mine. GD 86 points in the second half. UGGG, 0-2 out the gate. SD State held on and covered the 22. So 1-2.

I didn't bet it. I've never bet first round games. I flip the switch next weekend

Rally Cap. 2-2 now after an 0'fer start.

Need to add a few for tonight. :eyes:

St. Mary's -4
Arizona -17 (-120)
Nova O131.5

Torn on this Nevada/ISU game. Should be one of the more entertaining games...fast paced, both teams can fill it up.

In big on Arizona but that line should be in the 20s.

Plus my boss who is a huge IU fan and has lost over 2k in the last month bet them big so I am staying away.

Do you ever bet on actual basketball knowledge, numbers, and trends, or just weird little **** like "pick the opposite of what I'm feeling" or "my boss is down so I'm not betting" or "every time I eat cajun alfredo and bet the underdog I lose" ???
