Pearl was right on target about us being a team of backups.
Wish we could have taken a run at many coaches. Including a young NBA assistant. Like Kevin Young. But we have the worst AD in the SEC.
On offense, he needs to cut out low percentage drives. It leads to TO's and terrible shots. Less will be more for him.
On defense, he can assert himself and force turnovers.
Much much better effort. Those AWFUL starts can't continue.

There are definitely concerns with this team that need fixing. But my god, the negativity in this thread is ridiculous. To the point that I would think trolls have taken over the board. But I do notice some familiar usernames that do nothing but *****. You think Pope can’t coach. We get it. You could be right. But you also may be very wrong. I’m hoping for the latter.
how many SEC POYT candidates only play 24 minutes per game and dont have the offense designed for them?
You can see when the effort is there for Oweh, It hasn’t been often. When he gives it, it shows.

I’m telling you IU looks like a top 15ish team. Depends on who plays in the game and how much energy we play with. If we figure out how to guard we can win but they play like we did last year. Everyone plays their roles and they shoot great from 3 and the FT line. Two guys who can fill it up from anywhere.
Which is why we should be and were so down the first 15 minutes of this game. If we can’t enforce our will on this team, we are hopeless.

team is terrible. everyone loves jelly....just jacked up a dumb 3 after a turnover he just caused. he, jasper, williams do that dumb stuff multiple times a game. garrison is a headcase. noah cant do jack against real teams. chandler is foul prone. aberdeen plays hero ball.
the reason why oweh was so effective last year is because the players around them did their job that allowed him to do his job. this year....its been the opposite.

The thing is most people who are down don’t want to be down. Almost everyone on here bought into and supported Pope. It’s a bunch of little things that are starting to add up showing he may not be the guy like we thought.
You're right, Garrison's 4 bad plays in a row didn't actually happen.
He has the basketball instincts of an average 6 year old.
