I asked earlier is this an ACC refereeing crew? The reason I ask is because they are calling a lot of holding penalties on us. I am not saying they are bad calls but if this is an ACC crew it could be bad for us. The refs are going look for are going to look for that against all year. I watch a lot of games and I see holding on every team all the time but no calls.

They took our game off to show the Virginia game and I knew that was going to happen. Once you get way ahead you hardly ever see the end of your game. You think they would do a better job scheduling these games.

I believe its ACC, but primarily west coast crew.

I too like Adams over Allen, but I’m willing to admit that my preference is based on nothing other than Allen being in his 4th year in college while Adams’ is in his 2nd.

IMHO we have 3 solid QBs.
Agreed. Allen’s INT was a bonehead throw, but otherwise he was playing with some rhythm and making some good throws. Adams should have had a TD. That play where he got the EKU rushers to bite on the pump-fake and then hit that TE right in the numbers…that was on the TE - ya gotta catch that ball. Same with the corner/seam that I was talking about from Allen, so frustrating to see a great play or throw like that fall short because of a drop or bad body control. Take Allen’s first deep shot for instance. I think it was to Hughes(?). Reciever stops to leap and “high point” the ball, which was just out of his reach. But if he would have kept his stride that ball would have dropped over his shoulder and directly into his bread basket. IOW, stats dont always tell the story because they don’t reflect poor play/drops by the intended receivers, or how much pressure the OL is giving up, etc.
I like our QB room, and we havent even seen Mims yet. I think we’re fine not dipping into the portal this coming off-season, especially if we keep Cherry committed.

Went back and watched, both “drops” were by Hughes (14) which were more on Hughes than the pass. You can even see Allen explaining his placement to Brohm when he came to the sideline. He gestures to that effect. I’m sure the staff will see it on review.

Yes. I do think regardless of what happens one of the two if not both will not be back next year

Brohm is budgeting NIL money on the QB spot. That money is not going to go to a bench project unless they blow up and start out performing the starter.
