Good analysis and fair. WR play killed us, and one play cost us 7 and gave Georgia points in a close game. If we go up big we make them one dimensional and can generate a pass rush since we were worried about their running game. That to me was the key in that our pass rush was anemic against a weak OLine. Also, when Georgia kept running the quick hitting play to Wims on the short side our adjustment was horrible. Cannot play 8 yards off the receiver because you are worried about getting neat over the top with no safety help. Either show that look and drop the OLB into the passing lane every now and then, or roll the safety over the top and press him every 3-4 plays. Giving the same look every play is like what a middle school football DC would do and that is insulting middle school DC's :D

Pretty much agree with this.

On the coaching, I had two major complaints:

1. The playcalling inside the 9 once we got stuffed on first and goal (had no problem on 1st down as why not keep riding the wave)

2. The playcalling after the first Georgia fumble in the second half that ultimately led to a field goal attempt. So conservative with three boom runs up the middle. Why not go after them and try to put some pressure on them?

I would have graded them at B or B-, but probably splitting hairs.

C+ or possibly B- is the best I could give the coaches. We had momentum and a tremendous game atmosphere in our favor. I give these coaches credit for getting us through this season without collapsing with a back up QB, and a inexperienced front seven, but the prevent D at the end of this game proved to be what allowed for the winning drive. For the season I think the coaches have done very well, for this game and especially the end of this game I think they dropped the ball themselves.
