[PushupMan]

Let’s use this as the game thread. Cards are off to a very fast start! 11-0 at the 730 mark of first quarter. Zam Jones impressive at the start on both ends of the floor.

[PushupMan]

Mackenly Randolph looks like she’s lost about 30 pounds. I need to know her secret!

[PushupMan]

Hopefully Jeff coaches Zam Jones up on that in bounds situation. She’s taking multiple steps along the baseline before she passes the ball in - that’s travelling, but the refs did not catch it.

[PushupMan]

26 to zip to start the game! Walz is deep into the bench just 7 minutes in.

[PushupMan]

44-9 after one quarter. Carys Baker has a little bit of a push shot from the 3 point line, but she’s going to help stretch the defense if she can keep knocking those down.

Cards cooled off some in quarter #2, but are roasting Bellarmine 72-21 at the half. Tough to say whether we are incredible or Bellarmine is hot garbage, but we’ve got some very good returning players on this team. Berry with 13, Roberts with 11, Istanbulluoglu and Baker with 9. We forced 23 turnovers in the first half.

[PushupMan]

Crap! Istanbulluoglu down with a twisted ankle early in the 3rd. Had to be helped off the court and taken back to the locker room.

[PushupMan]

Cards 92-33 at the end of 3. Bellarmine with 29 turnovers. Cards shooting 53% from the field and 40% from 3pt. Only player to play and not score is the freshman Demerer.

Cards look really good! No wonder he’s been smiling this preseason. This is a team that can go VERY deep next March, and we have the length to beat Duke this year.
