Game of Thrones prequel spinoff

Glad to see GRRM has yet another distraction to keep him from finishing his last 2 books before death.
I thought about buying the books recently, but then realized the only ending I'll ever get is by HBO. So why put myself through the torment knowing the books might never pay off.
I'd much rather see a prequel about Robert's Rebellion, but I'm sure I'll gobble up this spinoff and find an excuse for why I like it.
It's SO IMPORTANT that the cast is diverse. Thank you EW for keeping us all woke.
