BadMFnA$$ great find today man ty...

Since we've been w these characters over 20% of our lives +/-, I'll be happy w however it ends.

I just know that...

* Arya is going to make it to the end and rule the North, quite possibly with her sister & uncle/half brother and hopefully Bran, doubt it BUT he's a Stark man, too many of them gone already, ya know? Couldn't really give an Ish regarding any of the charactors in his series....its the Direwolves I'm most concerned about.

I've also enjoyed Arya's story-arc probably the best of all the characterson the television series and def. #1!!!!! in the books., her sparring w Brienne at Winterfell was very telling of her abilities/longetivity in all of this, imo. Really looking forward to more surprises from her this season i.e. the Walder Frey family massacre/poisonings.

*Jon & Dany - as they've mentioned time and time again, he's STILL around for a reason...not sure if she's going to be part of that equation?

*Brienne of Tarth end up w - The Hound? -OR- Tormund? -OR- Podrick? -OR-???

*It s going to be one helluva finale

Will be a perfect ending on the top after #9 Baby!!!

GO CATS!

I feel like Arya will die..

Sansa / tyrion will rule the north.

I think King's landing will get destroyed?

Jon / Dany both dies...

Lannisters seem to know everything all the time. Would be quite the lapse in knowledge for that to be the case.

Although, they did say the dragons got smaller being chained up over the years ... Really bad foreshadowing?
I just assumed possibly bc tywin hates the only son he has that technically can carry his name, since jaime isnt supposed to marry being a part of the kings guard. I mean I understand he killed his wife in child birth, but maybe he also hates him bc hes the mad kings son.

I googled and apparently it's a small theory with other ppl. Probably not going to be the case, but that's part of whats so fun about this show!

Merely a theory. Tywin hated Tyrion for several reasons, he killed his wife, he’s a dwarf, he is the youngest, and also that he is the only one in his family that can match his intellect. It infuriated him. However, Jamie will marry Brienne of Tarth by seasons end or be with her.

I think that GRRM not finishing that damn books in a timely manner has sort of hamstrung the show and the show people have to play it straight down the middle to avoid any potential ruining of the books.

And if the fat bastard just isn't going to write the books, he should say so and let this season be the lasting legacy.

Kind of a weird dynamic, imo.

Yeah he’s just being lazy. Can’t blame the producers when that fat *** doesn’t want to finish it.

Anyone think Tyrion is a bastard targaryen

Have pondered this myself. In much the same way Cat showed disdain for John Snow, Tywin to a much greater degree couldn’t stand Tyrion. There are similarities. And as another said, the thing about the dragons becoming as small as household pets would tie in.

But who knows? So many directions it could unravel.

Tywin didn’t like Tyrion for completely different reasons though. I like to think him and Jon connect more-so on being different than others - like outcasts and never really fitting in. Obviously I have no idea, but I just don’t see it. Watch me be wrong :(. I just don’t think I’d enjoy two twist with the same ending.

I def get what you’re saying. I imagine the closest Tyrion will get to being a Targaryen is being the hand of one. But it is crazy to imagine the IMPlications of them going that direction.

There are so many other twists that are just as easily imagined. Beauty of this show.

In rewatching some episodes, the last season especially - there were some time compression and plot stupidity going on, as if the producers were rushed into churning out the show.

They’re in the North, the south, Kings Landing within minutes when the show slowly took years to pan from one part of Westeros to the next.

Case in point:

Dead army kills the dragon and it plunged to the depths of the lake.

Oh good! The dead army are not only great scuba-geared swimmers, but also came prepared with massive million pound chains readily hooked up to a couple Dodge Ram Duelies to drag that ***** dragon carcass out of the drink...

I think the books had a different intended ending than the show will get.

Books Jon snow was to be king. The books are titled a song of fire and ice. And Jon was the product of that marriage.

The show will have Jon and Dany rule together. They're just pushing that sort of trend in other story lines along with everything else hbo does

I don’t even think Jon and Dany both survive, so not sure where you’re getting this “push” from HBO

My thoughts for the end:
Jon - Sacrifices himself to save someone.
Dant - kill’t and Jorah will watch it and off himself for not protecting her
Sansa and Arya - chilling (lol) in what’s left of Winterfell
Bran - doing his own thing after we find out he was the night king all along
Jamie and Tyrion - back to what’s left of Casterly Rock. I could see Jamie doing something to save Tyrion.
Cersei - kill’t in a very satisfying manner
Samwel - re-establishing all the knowledge that probably got burnt/frozen
Theon kills Euron and heads back home
Hound stays in Winterfell
Bronn sacrifices himself for Jamie
Davos - hopefully gets to get rid of Melisandre. Don’t know why.

Doubt there will be an iron throne at all at the end. Either burny or frosty dragon melts it down.

Only thing I can’t seem to process is how all 3 dragons will end up. No idea. Can’t see them all gone. Maybe some more eggs are found and they take over kings landing.

I’ve stayed away from so-called leaked scripts, so these are all wild guesses.

Some shows you don’t want to go away and this is one I’ll miss watching, can’t wait for it to start.

My guesses

Jaime and Cersei will die because no way more than one Lannister lives, Tyrion will be the one.
Sansa runs the North.
Arya becomes hand of the king.
Bronn dies in battle.
Sandor kills Gregor.
Daenerys and one dragon die.
Jon and one dragon live, Jon is king.
Jorah dies in battle.
Samwell becomes super maester at the maester place.
Bran kills the night king fighting through someone else.
Theons sister and uncle killed, Theon is iron island.

You just realized the time compression from last season? They're just trying to finish the show

My theory, cobbled together from some of the Internet nerds, is that time is a circle in Westeros. This is it coming to the end of a cycle.

The NK and Bran are always pitted against each other. Bran defeats the NK, goes back in time and builds that wall.

If seasons are a cycle of birth and rebirth, then so is the world of Westeros.

That’s a good theory to have. Just like the first war of the dawn, the first men and children of the forest were enemies until the others appeared. They allied together to defeat the common enemy. Just like we are seeing in game of thrones.

Read three of them. But I thought your post was talking about the show pushing for them both to rule? I don’t see the show sending that message as of now.
I don’t either. It’s panning out for either one or the other. But I won’t be surprised if both die by seasons end. Just 6 episodes with each episode ranging from 75-100 minutes

They're leading side by side now. No way he swears fealty in the books. They were destined to join forces imo, but not like that.

Look at the board right now. Sansa, Dany, cersei all lead their armies. It's all female all the way.

Jon's the fire and ice. He's almost surely azor ahai, since he was reborn. Yet the show reduced him to a whiny introspective damsel in distress (exactly the opposite of his character in the book).

I don’t think he’s that whiny.

Still don’t think the show is setting it up for them both to rule. If anything, I think we all expect one or both to die.

Who knows. Just my guess

Yea, obviously I don’t know. Just didn’t think the show was pushing that narrative. I had read somewhere years ago that the producers asked GRRM the ending and he told them, so I just assumed the books and show would have the same ending. I don’t think the books will ever be finished before that dude croaks, though.

I just hope that the Hound, somehow, in an epic and gruesome way- shreds the Mountain.

No Ayia fan... hope that Lil girl is the Stark who bites it.

Would be epic. We know they face off.

I also think there's a good chance Arya kills him. They went out of their way to show us how skilled she was with the scene dueling brienne. Have to think that was for a reason.

Maybe she jumps in as Mountain is about to kill The Hound and saves him. He tells her to f*** off and walks away never to be seen again.
