In an extremely physical game with few whistles, especially early, young Tulsa was no match for mature, experienced North Texas. Reigning NIT Champion North Texas, with mostly upperclassmen, shoved and pushed Tulsa around, and was the much tougher team. TU had no answer, as Tulsa fell 68-55 to North Texas on Wednesday night in front of a crowd of 4,054 at the Reynolds Center.

With such a physical game TU sure got a lot of touch fouls. That crew needs to be shown the exit door with no readmission!

With a physical game like that, Tulsa just has to be tougher. There are going to games when they get very little breaks. But UNT was backing TU back into its own basket. Got to be tougher.

With that said, the refs stunk. Tulsa was getting hammered in the 1st half and was getting no calls. Bruce Howard was getting really frustrated with the calls while announcing the game on the radio. I was sitting next to him, and he was really upset about the way the game was being called.

With a game getting called like that, Tulsa should have sent some UNT guys to the floor to send UNT a message. Never let a guy back you back into your own basket. Send them a message you are not going to let that crap happen. If UNT is going to play that, play back harder.

Got to have a rim protector back there or every team will try to back us down and shoot easy little soft shots. Almost every team in the AAC has a rim protector who won't let that happen. We won't win big time till we get one regardless of how good our guards are.

well we don't have any players like that....so like i said in the other thread.....coach needs to get off the bench and take up for his players....grow a pair and stop being such a wuss....then maybe these guys will start to fight back if they know the coach is fighting for them....geez....this ain't rocket science....just ask bill lowery....

Nobody has a Ruffin. TU can be more physical with players it has, and needs some more players. I did see Konkol vehemently arguing with the officials at times. Although a good technical foul against a coach can work wonders. That could have helped, especially in the first half.
