Northwestern (6-1, 1-0 Big Ten) hosts Detroit Mercy (0-9) today at Welsh-Ryan Arena at 1 p.m. The game will air on BTN+

I'll be live tweeting at @M_Shelton33 on X/Twitter, and I'll be more active in here than a normally televised game as well.

I'd say probably like 30% capacity, but for Detroit Mercy on Dec. 10 I think it's actually a pretty good showing

Ryan Langborg show at the half. 16 points, four threes, he's on fire if we were playing NBA JAM. Scoring other than Buie has been really impressive, even if it is a winless Detroit Mercy team. Not many turnovers forced or given, but forcing a lot of tough shots

Boo isn’t scoring, but he’s still running the show and playing tough defense. Don’t just look at the box score and be worried.

Hopefully, this will get Brooks out of his funk. Martinelli had a nice game. Just made a 3.

Let’s hope the next few games let our bench get more experience like this.
I'm just happy non-con wins like this are routine now and allow for backups to get court time. Merrimack, Radford, and Hartford type losses in Boo's freshman campaign are thankfully a distant and fading memory. We've come a long way.

But our collective complacency may validate the maxim that winning doesn't feel as good as losing hurts.
