Looked like Hollis threw himself off balance as he was holding and then the WR changed direction.
You aren't going to win many games when you go down 21 - 0. Bowl game looking unlikely again, but chance this is a hangover after the big week 0 game.
Or the replay official could, you know, do his job. I hate replays for this reason. They are random and stupid and often wrong.
This is such a disappointing game. I am not shocked. Duke has beaten us 4 straight and has been a better team, even if they are consistently THE WORST TEAM IN ACC!!!
Our WR recruits have generally underperformed expectations since Springer arrived.
NU tried the same concept on that fourth down as on the successful one. Hull was isolated and tried to sneak out, but Duke’s safety was on it.
Fitz blamed it on the analytics program in ‘19 when after a failed two point play the team was two scores down the rest of the game.
Change analytics programs.
Their DBs are making the plays against our WRs. Hilinski’s throws are consistently a little behind though which gives them the ability to break them up.
Yeah bye excuse doesn't work this week. And can't say we didn't see this coming; Fitz knows we've started slow against Duke past 3 times we've played them.

Hilinski doing OK, although most yardage is YAC by Hull. He had a good rhythm with Gordon for a bit. He's less of the problem than not being able to run or play defense
Hilinski is floating a lot of passes. He doesn’t throw that well when he’s hurried in setting his feet. That’s probably most of what we saw last year.
Too many passes behind the WRs, that was bound to happen. Should have run it with Hull on 3rd and short.
The D is just giving out. Multiple 10 yard runs. I guess this is what Nebraska looked like on our last big drive.
