Cats need to stay up tempo but get much better shots. Tire em out but don’t take crappy shots. Take it to the rim.

We cut the stupid shots by 2/3 and magically the ball starts going through the basket. Still fair amount of non sense shooting going on

There was a good coaching move. We switched Boo to cover Kopp. It requires minimal effort since Kopp is slow and cannot put the ball on the ground.

Everybody knows I'm no fan of nance and Beran together as the starters, but my God, they had a 13-0 run going and Collins substituted Young for Nance...

I cannot understand that.

Very much agree. Take the open three or go to the rim. Press the action. Good shots but keep the pressure on.

The offensive rebounding advantage had kept us in it. Let’s make some damn shots, close out on the defensive boards and finish them. Every time it looks like we’re going to pull away they score at the rim.

From the Indy Star
————————-
Citing “disciplinary reasons,” IU coach Mike Woodson announced near tipoff that he had suspended five players for the Hoosiers’ game Tuesday night at Northwestern.

Woodson confirmed his decision speaking with Don Fischer on Indiana’s pregame radio show. A program news release distributed at the same time confirmed the five players were guards Xavier Johnson, Parker Stewart, Khristian Lander and Tamar Bates, as well as center Michael Durr.

“When you don’t obey the rules,” Woodson told Fischer, “you’ve got to do things you don’t want to do.”

Per IU policy, if the players were being suspended for failed drug tests — underlining all those words — they could not dress out for this game and they are dressed out.

Beran was fouled on the arm on the strip, then everyone is up in arms when he goes straight up and doesn’t get called for a foul. OK.

Not sure what that was between Nance and Galloway. Did he flop?

Beran foolishly holds onto the rebound and gets it stripped away. Too many brain farts!

The basketball IQ on our team is incredibly low for such a smart school. I just don’t understand it.

Our saving grace is that IN has shown little ability to put the ball in the basket. But they might start living at the FT line

That offensive foul doesn’t get called on Young if NU fans actually showed up in force. Refs felt the momentum shift and called it even though Young slid away from contact.

That was not a charge. Plus the IU defender was in the circle.

Big call there against Young. Probably the right one (looked just outside the restricted at first glance), but definitely one that tends to go against NU, even when at home.

Geez, Galloway!

Gotta knock it off with the arm hook. That can hurt someone.

Really nice player and clearly exhausted, but that’s not a good look.

Why are they taking so darn long to review this? It’s obvious. Dirty plays from Galloway. Dangerous.
