We need to be doing more on offense. Can’t just move the ball around the arc and then one on one drive. Last few possessions we’ve gotten better and we need to keep it up. No more empty offensive possessions. Slowing it down is one thing but not getting into the paint is another.

Cats are in complete Survival Mode right now with Boo out. Two fadeaways from Chase and a fadeaway from Brooks keeping them in it.

I know NU’s gameplan is to slow down the game but when there are chances to press and get points it feels like they’ve got to take them. The half court offense isn’t working well right now.

NU just doesn't have the guns to keep up with an Iowa team that's 9-18 from 3. Basketball is still a game about scoring points and NU doesn't score them super well. Iowa does, and they're pretty hot tonight.
I don’t love that we have them again in Evanston. They’re too good from 3, the major kryptonite of our defense.

These refs are horrendous.

I think it’s fine. The game was out of hand and these refs are an absolute joke. Lurch always goes out of his way to **** us.
That was a strategic technical. Collins knows the game is over and is sending internal and external messages.
Or maybe it was just emotions pouring out. Regardless, it’s not a bad tech. He has to make a point. If you don’t refs will benefit the whiners on the other side
How can a kid like Patrick McCaffrey seem so nice and likable, while every other member or his family is a loud mouth idiot?
Traditionally, I’ve had quite a bit of respect for their basketball program…Fran is so irritating though. He’s a good coach, but just miserable person on the sidelines. Really makes it hard to watch the Hawkeyes.
Fwiw, I used to hate watching Indiana with Knight for similar reasons.
I can think of a few questionable calls against NU but what specifically did you see that was so egregious?
